This rare vintage sterling silver and sodalite necklace and earrings was designed and signed c. 1950's by Taxco, Mexico modernist designer Antonio Pineda (1919-2009). This size 4-1/2 or 4.5 yellow gold ring features a tested golden rectangle cut cut sapphire stone of approximately 3.75 carats (estimated from gauge measurement). The gem color is a golden orange or gold orange colour. It weighs 2.7 grams, and it is stamped 10K with slightly obscured maker's marks and the Canadian manufacture mark. A substantial and heavily oxidized sterling bracelet by Jose Luis Flores. An apprentice of Spratling, Flores also worked in the ateliers of Hector Aguiar,Miguel Martinez and Emma Melendez. Signed Miguel in script, Taxco,Sterling JLF along with a slightly obliterated number. There are faint scratches. The bracelet measures 7-1/4 x 1-3/8 and weighs 80.7gr.

These handmade, two-sided cufflinks each feature a square piece with an incised geometrical design connected by a figure-8 to a dome-shaped piece. The links are very securely soldered to each side; there is a tiny ‘ding’ to one dome. The squares measure about 5/8 inch and are marked Sterling and Taxco. Weight: 8.1 grams total

A beautiful Georg Jensen USA Laurence Foss designed brooch in a classic Arts and Crafts pineapple style. Brooch measures 1 3/8" tall and 1 1/4" across. Has a teardrop moonstone cabochon. Marked with U.S.A. Georg Jensen, Inc., 480 and Sterling. Has a roll over safety clasp which holds securely. Nice patina and weight. Some minor surface scratches and a little tarnish. Wonderfully made.

This signed Matilde Poulat necklace lays beautifully and is a statement maker at 1.5in. tall and 17in. wearable length. This is a pre-1960 signage with patent, registration, Matl and Mexico no eagle. The quality workmanship is further demonstrated with a weight of 131 grams. Matl lovers should include this in their collection, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!

Rare modernist earrings by Irvin and Bonnie Burkee, a husband and wife team who created unique jewelry in their studio from the late 1940s until the 1970s. The minimalist aesthetic sterling silver earrings are circa 1950s, and feature discs each decorated by a single silver sphere. The earrings are screw-backs, and the tops measure .75" in diameter. This is a super Ciner brooch featuring a full figure jeweled camel. There red (maroon) enamel decoration is rimmed with rhinestones dotted scalloped borders. There are three movable tassels dangling from the edge. His hump is a large carnelian. On top of his head there is a crown with a glass carnelian.

This 1960s-70s wide copper bangle bracelet is unsigned, but nicely designed with four applied discs around the exterior for a clean, modernist look. It is sturdily constructed, thick enough so the shape is intact, and with a quality spring hinge and a small tongue and groove type of feature at the terminals to keep the pieces in place when closed. There are minor areas of discoloration at the edge of two discs; wear to the finish is minimal...

This bracelet was made as a souvenir for visitors to the Maria Laach Abbey, a Benedictine abbey in northwestern Germany. It has large, curved links of copper and white metal, from which drops a glazed ceramic disc mounted in white metal. The disc is decorated with a geometrical design in red on a yellow and green background, with a black diamond shape in the center. It is marked on the back of the mount with the abbey’s logo. It spans 3.25in. across on the drop and 2.5in. at the widest point for the height. Design #5184 is seldom seen now and this one has a warm natural patina. This sterling silver bar pin is cast as three poinsettias. It has a nice heft and is very well made. It is probably American, with a conjoined JR 43 mark on the back. The rollover clasp is in good working order. It measures 2 ¾ inches long by 1 1/8 inches wide. Weight: 13.3 grams

A vintage modernist sterling silver ring with a greyish brown moonstone like cabochon by noted silversmith, Maxwell Chayat. Measures size 7.5. Marked with a partially struck Chayat and Sterling. The ring is in very nice condition, with some tarnish. There is a little bit of roughness to the edge of the cabochon, but most likely was done during production. It was probably resized at one point. Well made and heavy, great mid century design.

Magnificent large, vintage sterling pin by Matilde Poulat. This handmade piece features a pair of repousse polomas (doves) flanking a bezel set center turquoise cabachon complimented by coral beads, turquoise beads and 5 silver and turquoise dangles. A nice pair of 14K white gold modernist cufflinks, the Florentined surfaces star-set with round blue sapphires. The sapphires are accented with bright-cut engraving to add a little more sparkle to the matte finish of the gold. Marked 14K.

The Noh mask is of an older male with long white beard expressing wisdom. The Noh Samurai warrior/devil face used on this bracelet is one of the most common Selro faces. While the white faces typically represent exotic cultures, the color of the stones used in this bracelet are more associated with Tudor royalty of Britain. This humorous contrast of styles gives the piece interest. The white face is in stark contrast with the warm gilt metal and the dark stones..
