This elegant, hand wrought set was designed by Taxco artist William Spratling in the early 1940's. The necklace measures 20 1/2" long & weighs 100 grams. Each link is 1" wide. The bracelet is 7" long X 1" wide and has it's original safety chain. It weighs 45 grams. Both pieces are in beautiful condition with a lovely, aged patina. The design is pictured in MEXICAN SILVER by Penny Morrill & Carole Berk. It is also shown on Phyllis Goddard's site spratlingsilver.com.

This Joseff of Hollywood crab, shell and 13 mm pearl brooch is in excellent condition. The mysteries of the Middle East influenced this design.

The detailed modeling is in the Russian gold finish they made famous for its photographic effect. The crab sits on a scallop shell and holds a large and lustrous simulated pearl. It is hallmarked Joseff signature on an applied plaque. It is 2" x 2 1/4".

Joseff was the jeweler for the Hollywood movie moguls form 1930-1948...

A vintage sterling silver repousee brooch by Barrera in the style of Matilde Poulat, MATL. Depicts a stylized fish in lightly hammered sterling with two turquoise cabochons.

Signed BARRERA, Made in Mexico, and Sterling. Pre Eagle, (pre 1949).

Measures 2 1/2" across and 2 1/4" high. Has an early style 'C' clasp that holds securely. The brooch has a dark patina and minor surface scratches.

A marvelous pair of Retro Moderne 18K yellow gold dress clips formed as a bouquet of diamond-studded platinum flowers, the stems tied with a ribbon set with calibre-cut rubies, all against a scrolled gold background. Buds represented by diamonds set in platinum and rubies set in gold are scattered around the flowers. The design is quite sophisticated and the stones are of very nice quality...

A gorgeous Palacios rare find. The flower is backed repousse with 3 warmed turquoise stones. The sweeping leaf below is open backed repousse. The patina is fantastic and the design is sublime. The weight is 20 grams heavy and the height is 2.5in. and width is 1.75in. wide. This brooch has no damage and it is collector quality.

Beautifully aged sterling silver and warmly glowing copper combine effortlessly in this Los Castillo chevron brooch. I am very partial to the mixed metals jewelry that came out of Taxco and the renowned workshop excelled in their production. This specific piece with its arrow shape I find very interesting visually - just note the way the curves of the silver beads are juxtaposed to the intense forcefulness of the angular motifs. A vintage stunning sterling silver bracelet by Plateria FarFan from Mexico in a geometric puzzle design.

Marked on the back Hecho en Mexico 925 D. F. around FarFan.

We have a bracelet of large dimensions at 2.25in. tall and weighing in at 150.00 grams. Marked only Sterling and then also Taxco with a push pin closure. The diameter of the bracelet is 2.5in. and fits most. The panels are divided up with a decorative motif of a caviar bead wrapped in rope and bead work up and down the height of the bracelet. This looks fantastic with Aguilar and Spratling designs. No damage and a patina that was almost black when received...

Early sterling bolo with Mayan design on a brown leather braided thong with the fabulous cactus-design ends, Mexico, c.1942. Hand made of heavy gauge silver, the bolo(1 1/8" long by 1 1/4" wide) shows a framed Mayan figure with a recessed oxydized background highlighting the figure. A repousse bracelet worked with great skill and signed JVE. A nice size being 1.25in. wide and approximately 40 grams of heavy repousse. The length is 7.25in. of comfort with no damage. The floral motif is on a thick silver base.

Doris Silver was a shop in Taxco during the Spratling era. She offered her space to craftsmen to produce quality and stunning jewels. This necklace is very heavy repousse with a wearable 17in. long with it's widest point being 7/8th in. The patina is naturally dark and thick. The design is floral with twisting and turning vines. Hidden within is a drop of 2.5in. across and 2 in. tall. I have never seen another like this one. No damage, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!
