A half-moon piece of agate in a molded sterling silver frame has colorations that give the impression of a mountain scene. It is strung between two chains with ribbed diamond-shaped elements. The back bears the mark of Great Falls Metal Works, a New Jersey firm that started in 1968. The necklace, from the 1970s or 1980s, measures about 19 ½ inches long; the pendant drops 1 3/8 inches.

Vintage pair of sterling silver screwback earrings set with 5mm and 6mm Mikimoto pearls. This is the classic style produced by Mikimoto in the mid-20th century—beautiful pearls set in the simplest possible way so that the pearls take center stage. The pearl quality is very nice—estimated at A+. They have an ivory body color with rose overtones and the luster is bright. The backs are marked with Mikimoto’s hallmark.

Vintage with a modern flair describes this set of four waist coat/shirt studs, each featuring a lustrous round mother of pearl framed in a white gold pin dot border, made by The J E Caldwell & Co. The back of each stud is 14k yellow gold comprising a spring-load bar. This stud set weighs 8.8 grams. The face measures 5/8 in. diameter. Excellent condition.

An abstract sterling silver brooch by Modernist NYC Silversmith, Henry Steig. Has white and black colored pearls on either side of an 'X' design. Measures 2 5/8" long and 1 1/8" at the widest. This charming watch pin is a lovely example of Art Nouveau design. A central amethyst is flanked by seed pearls, all set in 14 k gold. The pin is 3/4 X 3/4" and carries the maker's mark L B A. Circa 1900.

These Margot de Taxco necklaces with a large drop are getting very difficult to find. The drop has a stone 1 in. in diameter and the wearable length is a comfortable 17 in. long. The drop is 2.25 in. long and 2 in. across. No chips or cracks to the stone and no striations that come to the surface. A hefty weight of 74 grams reflect the quality of this treasure. One of Margot Van Voorhies best just, LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!

A Retro 14K yellow gold bracelet comprising hinged links set with amethysts alternating with diamond-set links. The oval mixed-cut amethysts have medium-dark, vivid reddish-purple color and are well-matched. The small old European and brilliant cut round diamonds add a restrained bit of sparkle. The amethysts are set in a way that makes them appear the float in the larger gold links, creating a sense of lightness in the bracelet. The clasp is marked “14K”.

A 14Kt yellow gold mid-century butterfly broach is decorated by three oval faceted stones, a 6X4 millimeter amethyst, an 8X6 millimeter citrine and a 9X7 millimeter blue topaz. The broach was made in Italy probably in the 1960-s, and it measures 1 ¾’” high and 1 3/16”wide.

A heavy pair of vintage 18K yellow gold double-sided cufflinks. Each round face is decorated with a band of opaque royal blue enamel surrounding a collet-set round brilliant cut diamond. The diamonds are about I/J color and are SI1 clarity. The faces are finished with pierced gallery sides. The quality of workmanship is excellent. The bar connectors are marked “750” and have a worn maker’s mark.

Machine-age styling give these sterling silver earrings a clean, distinctive look. They have a warm patina from age, and exhibit very little wear; the clip backs are marked Trifari and are in good working order. The earrings are marked sterling and probably date around 1950. Distinctly Egyptian Revival in its inspiration, the set of Mexican Deco dangle earrings at hand reminds me very much of elements in Margot de Taxco's "Cleopatra" parure; more specifically, the feathers of the "vulture crown" the pharaoh is wearing. More stylized in our case they are here involved in an elaborate knot forming sculptural dangles that hang off the sweetest repousse rosettes. I admit that I have never encountered this specific design before and would also like to draw your attention...

Circa 1930's - early 1940's, this Mexico City moth necklace was produced by M. Velazquez.

It's a magnificent piece with absolutely superb repoussé silver work. This silversmith's work is seldom seen and quite sought after, and this necklace is quite the showpiece.
