Condition - excellent.

A beautifully executed miniature folk art watercolor on thin card portrait by J. H. Gillespie, housed in a cast foliate metal locket with an aperture on the reverse.

The condition is excellent, with no issues whatsoever. The reverse of the case is lacking the surround and glazing to the aperture.

Note: Gillespie was active on the East Coast of North America, Baltimore, New York, and Philadelphia around the 1829-1838 time period...

An incredibly charming portrait miniature brooch of a young child, painted on natural material. The subject is beautiful, wearing a coral necklace and a pale lavender gown, and with brown eyes that were so finely and realistically painted with such depth that it is almost hard to believe when seeing this gem in person.

The condition is excellent, with no issues, and the overall size is 1 3/8" by 1".

After or before Pop artist Steve Kaufman Original Acrylic painting of Andy Warhol on money . This painting has an illegible signature and is dated 1999, the style is exactly that of Steve Kaufman we are not sure who painted it but its the early days of this style. Good condition frame 30 by 36" canvas 22 by 28 " 12 pounds...

PAIR of oil on canvas paintings, each 18" by 24" (one unframed, the other 20" by 26" in simple wood framing), both signed at lower right by the well-known Filipino artist SALVADOR CABRERA (1930-1986). The subject of each is a Big Eyed child, one a girl holding a doll, the other a mischievous-looking young boy with fishing pole and slingshot. Cabrera was born in Sexmoan, Pampanga. He studied art at the College of Fine Arts and the University of the Philippines...

Original 1974 Marc Chagall (1887-1985) color lithograph on lustrous Japon Nacre paper, the title "King David" (1974)---Sorlier #721, the sheet 11 1/2" by 8 1/4", measuring 9 1/2" by 7 1/2" inside the present mat, and 16" by 13" simply framed. The print is not laid down, but is taped to the mat, at the corners, on the reverse side...

Very large (48" by 48", unframed), decorative, attention-getting oil on canvas of a family of three musician performers in a park setting, painted in a humorous fashion, the family in costume and appearing clown-like, by the French mid century impressionist artist ROGER ETIENNE (1922-2011). The painting is titled on the reverse "Jour de Fete" (Holiday), inscribed "Pour Renon", and signed by the artist and dated 1972...

A nicely executed miniature portrait painted on organic wafer by Thomas Hull. The sitter is a blue-eyed gent in a blue coat, frilled chemise, and white waistcoat. Presented in a gilt metal frame with a collection label on the reverse.

The condition of the painting and the frame are excellent, with no issues. The dark areas at the edges of the painting are due to light refraction in the photos and do not appear in person...

An oil on canvas painting of an older priest or monk eavesdropping on the conversation of a pair of younger men of the cloth in a richly-appointed, classic interior (library or study), signed by artist at lower left "M. Klein Wylock". This detailed, finely painted work dates to the late 20th century, but the artist was clearly familiar with the similar works of the late 19th century by German, French and Italian artists working in the manner of Eduard von Grutzner (1846-1925)...

An extensive landscape with picturesque castle ruins at left on a leafy Arcadian glen overlooking a lake and distant mountains, unsigned, 16" by 24" (25" by 32 1/2" in wide gold frame), presenting at first a Hudson River School appearance, but perhaps more likely by an English or Scottish artist, or by a period American artist imitating an English style and scenery. Jasper Francis Cropsey painted similarly (but I am not suggesting that this is his work)...

A fine American miniature portrait of a young woman with sausage curls, wearing a lace cap and fichu, with a black dress with black dots. The watercolor painting is done on natural wafer, and enclosed in a period cast bronze foliate case with a glazed aperture on the reverse.

The miniature has no chips, cracks, or bowing. The painting slipped slightly in its case when I scanned it, but this is easily adjusted. Sight size is 2 1/4" by 1 7/8", while the case size is 2 3/4" by 2 1/4".

Jean Baptiste Camille Corot 1796-1875 French This is a fine rich impression of the well known Corot etching Souvenir of Italy, this was first created in 1863, and printed in three states, including later ones with the publishers information at the bottom edge of the sheet. This one does not have that so may be an earlier or possibly later impression. The image measures 12 9/16X9 3/8 inches, printed on an antique laid type paper. Very fine condition, matted not framed...

Alexander Ney Russian American contemporary sculptor "Running Tiger" mid 1970s incised brown clay with a holes under side for mounting to a base, base not included. The artist initialed this piece "N 5" in his usual incised way. Size l nearly 5" by 2.5" high. This is from a very rare group of early miniature pieces most all were initialed in this way...

An original lithograph print, "Le Peintre et son Double" ("The Painter and his Double"), 1981, from the publication Derriere le Miroir, edition of 15000 with the original center fold, Mourlot ref. #992, by iconic Russian-French-Jewish artist MARC CHAGALL (1887-1985). The print is unsigned; measurements inside the mat are 14 1/4" by 19 3/4" (19 1/2" by 25" framed). Condition is excellent with no foxing.

Executed in a warm earth tone palette of various browns, sea-green, pale yellow, pale orange, and white, depicting crashing waves upon a beach at sunset with gulls in the foreground, this is a very nicely painted and evocative piece...

Lending itself to all sorts of interpretation, we ordinarily do not gravitate towards watercolor as an artistic medium, but this unusual piece had a certain draw to it. In terms of technical merit, it is also very well done for watercolor, especially the shadowing...

Ross Shattuck painting on art board of 2 cloaked figures walking up a hilly desert street, with original frame some minor scuffs. Size sight 15" by 19" and a 3" wide frame 25" by 21" Shattuck studied at the Chicago Academy of Fine Art and the PAFA. He moved from New York to Laguna Beach about 1929. During the 1930s he was an art director for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and an instructor at the Chouinard Art School in Los Angeles. His paintings include nudes and interiors. A fine and charming portrait miniature with an unusual and exceptional reverse. The sitter is a sweet woman painted in an ethereal manner. She is wearing pearl earrings and a cream gown with a pair of roses at the low point of the neckline. There is a lace fichu with a double blue line at the border. The background is done in a grayish green color.
