There is a signature at lower right that I have been unable to decipher...

This is a framed reproduction, circa mid 20th century, of the PIERRE AUGUSTE RENOIR (1841-1919) famous painting "La Fillette a la Gerbe" (Little Girl with Sheaf). She is carrying her sheaf of wheat, although she looks to be more of a child of the privileged rather than a field worker in the tradition of Millet. This is one of Renoir's more popular paintings and it has been reproduced many times...

For the Hawaiiana fans, here is a clean Hale Pua anthuriums print, 13 3/4" by 10 3/4" (24 1/2" by 20 1/2" framed). Close up magnification shows it to be some kind of later photo of an original airbrush painting, I believe (offset printing-type dots visible with a magnifier). The color seems to be just printed on rather than airbrushed, the signature, likewise. You need a magnifying glass to tell the difference...

Small contemporary painting on canvas, 10" by 10", unframed. The work seems to be in mixed media, the yellows particular appearing to be gouache, the green strokes shiny, the remainder of the painting flat. A decorative piece.

A small, unframed oil on canvas landscape in a painterly hand, 8" by 10", signed at lower left with what appears as "Round" or similar. Found in Los Angeles, probably by a local talented impressionist painter. This being a standard size, you should be able to easily locate a flattering frame of your choice.

This is a pleasant unsigned oil on canvasboard landscape, 16" by 20" (20" by 24" simply framed), the subject a lake surrounded by low hills, a church at right and a few strolling figures at left. The work might be by an amateur or a listed artist but due to the lack of a signature the truth will never be known. There is a little even soiling consistent with an age of at least 40 years, and a small hairline abrasion at center which is not obtrusive...

Circa 1850 lithograph with hand coloring, titled at bottom "The Flight into Egypt", published by the noted American lithographer James Baillie. Baillie began his career in the late 1830's as a picture framer in New York City, and then worked as a colorist for the Currier and Ives firm. By 1843 or 1844 he had struck out on his own, producing a wide range of lithographed images in the style of his former employer...

A naive or self-taught style painting of a colorful hillside neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, known as Rocinha, signed at lower right by the artist "Jonathan", and dated there 27/02/04. The unframed 9 1/2"by 6 1/4" work pictures the Rocinha slum neighborhood. The artist has turned a place of notorious grinding poverty, despair and violence into a beautiful little work of art that transmits only happy thoughts...

A pen and ink print signed W.V.V.T in the lower right corner. There is a small white spot in the right area (see photos) and dark spot above that... there is also rippling in the upper left corner-- the paper may have been pasted to a background but we have not examined it out of the frame. 12" x 16"

Antique, circa 1910 unsigned watercolor on paper painting of a red-headed young woman with elaborate hat, carrying roses, 12" by 9 3/4" in modern-day but attractive and complementary gold framing. There are old condition issues (cracks in the board) at top portion in the hat, and hair, extending to the top edge. These were amateurishly taped on the back side...

The French fashion and costume magazine "La Mode Illustree" operated from about 1859 through at least the 1920's, featuring the styles of the day. This is a fine engraving, circa 1875 or 1880, judging from the fashion depicted. It is hand colored. Size as framed is 13 1/2" by 9 1/2". The framing though narrow is an interesting design. The print has some overall light browning/aging as would be expected of paper of this age---but it is even and not at all obtrusive...

Vintage poster, 27 1/2" by 19 3/4" in present metal frame, the subject a woman in profile holding flowers, doves in the composition as well, titled "This poster was presented to the Egyptian Delegation on the occasion of President Sadat's Peace Mission to Jerusalem November 1977", the artwork by IRENE AWRET (1921-2014) and her husband AZRIEL AWRET (1910-2010), both noted Holocaust survivor artists. Sadat of course, sadly, was assassinated in 1981...

This is a decorative, hand colored print, possibly dating to 1784, issued as a plate in "New and Complete British Traveller", titled at bottom "View of Hackney in Middlesex". Presently the print itself measures 6" by 6 3/4" (10 3/4" by 12 3/4" in simple black wood frame). I see from online research that this example seems to have been cut down, with all decorative border areas, and the name of the publisher, Alex Hogg, at the Kings Arms, No. 6 Paternoster Row, trimmed away.
