Woodblock on very thin, delicate Japan type paper, 14 1/2" by 10" inside the old mat, signed at lower right margin in Hebrew, numbered there 53/100, (part of the numbering apparently in green ink), the subject a holy or religious Jewish orthodox man with traditional clothing and hair style. I am not able to read the Hebrew and a friend who can was not able to decipher the writing. Regardless of artist name, the print is beautifully conceived and executed...

Schwartz", showing a copse of trees in a hilly landscape. This drawing, which reminds of works by Ralph Holmes or Maynard Dixon, is nicely framed in a 1930's or 1940's frame. Schwartz (1879-1969) has a sizable listing in Hughes' "Artists in California 1786-1940"...

Something of a mystery, this is a very interesting soft pencil drawing of a young woman, 13 1/4" by 9 1/4" (19" by 15" framed), signed indecipherably at lower right and dated there 1931. Try as I might, I have absolutely come to a dead end when it comes to figuring out this signature. Adjacent to that signature an inscription reads "Baroness Leonnie Perraja"...
