Measures 11x15” a beautiful work, Egyptian Mosque Woodblock signed “Paris” with small sketch in pencil, hand color sketching.

Charcoal on paper, 7 7/8" by 11 3/8" (14 1/4" by 17 7/8" as framed), not signed above the mat (not opened up), but bearing a 1968 label on the reverse from ACA American Master Gallery of La Cienega Blvd. in Los Angeles, providing the name of the artist, with the words below stating "From the estate by K Moskowitz". This is a rather typical subject for the artist, EUGENE HIGGINS (1874-1958), who is today grouped with the Ash Can school of American art of the first half of the twentieth century...

A scene of an adobe with the classic protruding wooden beams, a low wall, springtime pink/white flowering trees and a split rail fence completing the composition. The work is apparently unsigned. It is laid down (glued) to Masonite panel. It shows signs of having been rolled in the past--long parallel vertical cracks in the paint, as shown in several images. Most certainly it is by a listed artist but this one is a mystery...

Although the name suggests an artist likely of Czech origin, this painting's stretcher and materials suggests the scene was painted in America, perhaps in the Rocky Mountains of the west. A search of the standard internet databases does not show an artist by this name, which is surprising...

An American oil on panel painting, unsigned, likely circa 1920, unframed, featuring a landscape including a lake, some distant low mountains, and yellowing foliage in foreground suggesting autumn as the season.
