Niemann Edmund John (I), British, 1813-1876. This oil on canvas is 12" X 18" in a period frame. It is in good condition and will be undergoing a light cleaning. It is signed lower left. This landscape is a very vivid example of Niemann ability to convey the beauty of a spectacular sunset. The detail is excellent on the painting. His paintings go for up to $20,000. The signature and attire indicate the painting was probably done by an Eastern European or Russian artist.
