An oil on canvas painting of an older priest or monk eavesdropping on the conversation of a pair of younger men of the cloth in a richly-appointed, classic interior (library or study), signed by artist at lower left "M. Klein Wylock". This detailed, finely painted work dates to the late 20th century, but the artist was clearly familiar with the similar works of the late 19th century by German, French and Italian artists working in the manner of Eduard von Grutzner (1846-1925)...

Oil on canvas, 36" by 24" (45" by 33" as framed in wood), the subject a wicker chair draped with lacy cloth, a painting in the background and tea pot at right, signed with what appears as "Egeun" at lower right and dated 82. A Greek-speaker emailed me to inform me that the signed name is, in Greek, "Eleni" (Greek for "Helen"). This is a bright, contemporary painting in really excellent, fine wall-ready condition.

Large, impressive 1981 painting of an arched stone footbridge over a brook in a leafy, park-like setting, 38" by 50" framed, signed at lower right TOSTRUP. There is a listed artist by the name of Axel Tostrup (born 1947) but I am not certain that this is that artist. What is certain is that the painting is beautifully executed by a talented hand.
