MR. MASON WAS BORN IN CHELSEA IN JANUARY 1923. HE WAS EDUCATED IN CHELSEA AND STUDIED ART AT GOLDSMITH'S COLLEGE OF ART, THEN IN PARIS AND FINALLY ATTENDED THE ROYAL ACADEMY IN LONDON. HE HAS EXHIBITED AT ALL MAJOR EXHIBITIONS IN ENGLAND AND ALSO IN PARIS AND NEW YORK. HE IS WELL KNOWN FOR HIS DRAWINGS AND OIL PAINTINGS OF MILITARY SUBJECTS.

This is a large work of art in delicate condition, 26" by 54" and 3" wide frame, so, I am seeking a local (Southern California) buyer who can pick it up. The painting, of a tropical coast with palms, decorative boats, and numerous figures, is well painted in an impressionistic manner, and is signed "M. H. Liu" at lower right in red and dated there 1967. A search of this name has not produced any listings...
