A print of Pierre-Auguste Renoir's 1889 painting "A Young Girl with Daisies", 9 1/2 by 7 1/2" (18" by 16" in the attractive wood frame). The print is very glossy, as made---giving the impression of being on porcelain, or made as an enamel. The frame is likely of Mexican origin and is hand carved and gilded, making for an attractive combination. A work for the Renoir fan who cannot quite afford the real deal at a Sotheby's auction.

Antique Japanese woodblock print by Hasui Kawase (1883-1957) entitled Snow at Ginkakuji Temple. Snow falls quietly on a two story building. The rocks and trees around the pond are capped with snow and figures stroll by with umbrellas.

The artist, Hasui Kawase is considered one of the major landscape artists of Japan. He was born the son of a silk merchant and studied both Japanese and Western style painting. He showed at the Tatsumi Exhibition of Painting at the age of 19...

Measures about 13 1/2" by 9 1/2" matt opening, overall frame about 21 1/8" by 17 1/8". Titled "Fall Aspens on Mon Jeau", Travis has written that "Pic is watercolor sketch in the field for large oil painting in Texas..." Nice example.
