An unframed circa late 1600's or early 1700's oil on wood panel painting of old ruins in a poetic Italianate landscape that includes a distant bridge over a river, more ruins, and several tiny foreground figures with their animals. The 9 3/4" by 12 5/8" oak panel shows great age; it is ever so slightly bowed. Beautiful pair of oils on board by J. Langstaffe, British, late 19th century. They each measure 23" wide x 15" high on the inside.

A large etching titled, “Veduta della Gran Curia Innocenziana,” (View of the Palazzo di Monetcitorio) part of Giovanni Battista Piranesi’s folio of Views of Rome, first published in 1752. The etchings were often reproduced, but this one has both the correct heavy laid paper with appropriate watermark and the center crease where it was folded into the original folio. It has good margins beyond the plate mark. Sheet size 21 ¼ x 29 ¾ inches (54 x 75.4 cm)...

Three engravings, from a set (consecutively numbered in Roman numerals), but separate though loosely framed together, margins for the most part tightly trimmed, each measuring roughly 6 1/2" by 5 1/2". The scenes of the old towns are named in Latin, German, and French. Judging from the architecture, the towers and buildings are certainly from the northern part of Europe, most likely Germany. Artist is undetermined at this point. Some research could reveal that information...

A watercolor on paper 10 1/2" by 21 1/4" (21" by 33" in blue laminate framing) featuring a tropical dock scene replete with coconut palms, a small sailing craft, and boathouse, signed at lower right with what appears as "Ehrlich". I have not been able to link an obvious listed artist name to this work. The hand is sure and talented and the piece is in excellent fresh condition.

A fine American miniature painting on natural wafer of a hazel-eyed woman, dressed in a white bonnet and fichu. Original locket gilt metal case has a plait of hair in the aperture on the back of the case.

Superb condition with no problems. The locket is 2 3/8" by 2", and the sight size of this little gem is 2 1/4" by 1 7/8".
