Vintage Chinese watercolor by Russian artist Yastriez. Yastriez lived and worked in Shanghai in the early 20th century. A boat glides down the river under a bridge. A large verdant tree is on the river bank. G. Yastriez is signed in the bottom right corner. It measures 17.5" tall by 13.5" wide, image 6"7/8" wide 10" tall. Matted with blue and white.

Vintage Korean front opening bandaji (storage chest) decorated with white brass hardware incised with fish and yin/yang designs. The front drops open to reveal three interior drawers and a removable shelf above a large hidden lower compartment. Beautiful Chinese antique carved amber smiling Buddha, with great detail, on a wood base. Against the light, the amber is revealed as ruby red. Age: Republic Period. Size: 3.25" height x 2.75" length x 1.75" depth.

This dazzling child's dress front was made by Pashtuns and is probably dated to the 1950s or 60s. The embroidery technique on this textile features couched metallic threads forming an intricate combination of linear and circular designs, so densely arranged as to almost completely obscure the dark purple silk ground...

A finely carved lime box, its body in the form of a cone surmounting a flaring cylinder, decorated with three levels of an elaborate geometric design which is changing at each level. The stopper itself is decorated with two human heads back to back surmounting the neck adorned with a necklace. A bone spoon and a bone point are attached to the stopper, the link adorned with wood beads and tiny old glass beads. Fine age patina. Indonesia, Timor island. Height: 16.5 cm. Very good condition.
