Japanese sosaku hanga woodblock print titled in pencil at the lower margin "Haniwa (7)" by Kiyoshi Saito (1907-1997). Signed in white ink and with the artist's red seal at the lower right corner on the back. Circa 1950s. Paper size: 14 3/4" x 9 3/8” (image size: 11 1/8" x 5 7/8”). Very good overall condition. Gorgeous vintage pottery replica of a sui dynasty tomb horse. Horse has a commanding and powerful presence as if going off to battle in a fiery. Standing on a rectangular base, with three legs planted, and one slightly lifted, giving motion and life to the piece. The face and body are both fierce and expressive yet modeling a poised and elegant arched neck. The overall look of the horse is extremely pleasing to the eye and decorative.

A fabulous piece of black satin silk embroidered with real seed pearls to create 2 bouquets and 3 individual flowers. Custom made in the 1950's there are about 2,000 seed pearls which are individually hand sewn. There are 3 sizes of small pearls in two different shades, two are a silvery dark grey/black color and the third is a medium black. Black jet beads make up the make the stems and the center of the largest flowers. These beads are the darkest black on this material...

Chinese hardwood Abacus, natural finish color, 1 1/4" high, 11 1/2" x 4 1/4" wide, numbers in Chinese Character in red in front and very large sign of the some Liquor store name in the back, the dovetail or butterfly joint work between back and the side frame, it is in good condition, no damage.
Japanese obidome (sash ornament) with polished moss agate stone, its natural pattern perfectly resembling a single tree with well defined branches. Obidome is worn on an obi cord that holds the obi sash together, it is the only type of jewelry worn by Japanese women on formal occasions, and could serve as netsuke as well. Amazing natural picture, excellent finish and patina. Metal fitting on the back with two loops for an obi cord. Height 1 4/4 inches.

Entirely hand painted and hand made, it is a very large size to bring an abundance of good luck to its owner. Designed as a coin bank, its original paper coin stopper is still intact. Raising the left paw, it is beckoning family, friends and happiness its way...
