An antique Korean Nong (side chest) made of a burl hardwood book-match. Beautiful Camelia blossom motif on the hinged doors. Nickel hardware with a aged patina. Scholar's taste in design, this chest would work well as a side table or an accent piece.

Japanese Taisho to Showa period vertical scrolled painting executed in sumi ink and wash on paper with a landscape scene featuring two figures at a bridge beside looming rockery, trees, a traditional hut, and a waterfall. Painted in the style of Sesshu. Signed with a red seal at the lower right. Bone scroll ends. Scroll: 50” x 16 1/8” (paper: 21 1/4” x 13”). Very good overall condition.

A Chinese painting in scroll form depicting a minority girl with her goat. Painted and signed by famous artist Cheng Duo Duo(1947-,Cheng Shifa's son). The painting was acquired in an antique and art fair in San Francisco in late 1990s. Good condition. Dimensions of the painted area: 44cm X 67.5cm.

A unique blend of communist history, rendered in a subtle propagandist doctrine (teaching). The two Chinese characters translate 'the way' and a broad road made up of many arrows point in one direction ultimately swinging upward; in the make up of this rather odd configuration is the obvious color 'Red' which completes the translation stemming from the two Chinese characters which roughly translates..., The 'Red' way points in the right direction, pathway to promotion...

Chinese Bamboo hanging wall decoration, Chinese Character incised in black, 11" high, 5 1/2" wide in the back, half moon shape. The condition is good except natural shrinkage of inner soft part of Bamboo, please see inside the top.

Beautiful cream colored Japanese glazed porcelain vase with gold painted bamboo stalks on its front and back, gold checkerboard designs with pink and white accents around the neck and base, gold rim with red, green, and gold painted designs. Beautiful silk obi that has been cut and backed to create eight place mats. They are an ivory color with flowers and twisting stems in dusty purple, muted pink, deep red, gold, and brown. Showa period (1925-1989) Size: 18" length, 12" width

Classic vase by Mashiko artist Murata Gen (Japan, born in Ishikawa Prefecture, 1904-1988). Murata Gen apprenticed with Shoji Hamada before becoming an independent potter in 1954. This work is 8 1/2" high and 6 1/2" wide. Signed with the "MU" character within a diamond. In excellent condition.

It has a chip at the fan's handle, skip glazes, dark spots, minor rubbing of gold and paint, and surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos).
