Chinese thinly potted famille-rose enamelled vase on a lime green graviata ground with five figures in different poses surrounding. The top rim is edged in gilt. The inside and the base are glazed in turquoise blue. The base has a four character mark in iron red surrounded by a single iron red square border.
Size is 10-1/8" high by 7-7/8" diameter
Condition: The gilt edging at the top rim is worn in places and there are some frits. The enamels show some minor wear.

Pair of Chinese cloisonne baluster vases with matching covers. Designed all over with fish swimming among lotus pods and other foilage on a white background. Ruyi shoulder design. The insides are enamelled in a dark blue. The rims and bases in copper. The covers designed the same with the same blue enamel on the inside.

Signed Oinishi Rakusai V Akahada flower vase. In original signed paulownia wood box. B.1910 this vase was one of his early pieces in C.1950. From an illustrious Nara pottery family famed for Akahada ware.
Incredible precision is the hallmark of this hand embroidered baby carrier from Ge Jia. The piece is bordered with batik and hand stitch detail which is so fine and precise that it looks like it was done on a machine but it was definately done by hand. This carrier is in very good condition. This older style is now highly prized and rarely appear on the market. baby carrier is 23 inches wide at the top and 27 inches long.
Large blue and white Arita (Imari) porcelain fluted dish. Decorated with a flowered basket having a bird and pomegranates, it dates early 20th C Japan, Taisho. Measures 15.75ʺ diameter × 2.75ʺ high.
This is a charming baby carrier from Guang Xi which is similiar in shape to those carriers from Rao Jia region. It is made of hand-loomed cotton fabric which is hand stitched and hand embroidered with butterflies and flowers using both cotton and silk thread. The sculptural shape makes a very pleasing wall hanging. The condition of this carrier is very good.

The Takahashi family is along with the Ueda family the oldest potter family in Shigaraki and Takahashi Rakusai III b.1898-1976 was largely responsible for the revival of unglazed Shigaraki pottery in the 20th century. Working in the third generation he was designated a "Shiga Prefectural Intangible Cultural Property" in 1964 for his countless efforts.
