An attractive, colorful frit paperweight showing a pair of hearts shot through with an arrow and surrounded by a laurel wreath and the word "Friendship," all against a bright mottled umbrella ground. The pontil is ground and frosted. The glass is nicely free of striae and bubbles. The quality of workmanship is quite good, and the weight is certainly the handiwork of one of the better West Virginia glass makers, possibly Gentile.

Danish Royal Copenhagen Leaf shape serving Dish, 9" x 7 1/4", 1 5/8" high with basket design impressed wide border and floral decoration in the center, low relief white floral design on the side of the handle, marked udnerglaze blue and green on the bottom "Royal Copenhagen, Denmark" in green and numbers 1599. The condition is good.

A well rendered blue and white Chinese porcelain dish with 4 figures. In very good condition, surface showing no wear, there are few minor frits around the edge and a chip on the inside bottom foot rim, nothing of any consequence. Dating Republic period, it measures 5.5" (14 cm) diameter and 1.5" (3.8 cm) deep.

Chinese Jadeite Jade fine quality Disc shape Pendant, Ca. 1940's, 1 3/8" diameter-outside measurement, 1/4" diameter-inner measurement, highly polished mottled green grain, both side have different green natural grains. No damages.

This fantastic vaseline tumbler is by Fenton Glass as part of a tea or chocolate set. This bright art nouveau vaseline tumbler features two dramatic wheel cut flowers and leaves surrounding the blown panel bowl. The pulled cobalt blue handle is applied. The bottom is smooth with a finished pontil. This elegant piece of art glass is in excellent, unused condition and stands 5 1/4" tall.

Set of two Chinese ink stones. The larger one is carved with dragons and clouds surrounding the three pots. On the back there are two sections of writing. The other stone is covered and the front cover has scenic carving with a poem. On the back of this one there is a three character seal mark. Both stones are well used.

Chinese Green Pottery Cricket Play cage, or Cricket Bowl, 3 1/2" high, 5 3/4" diameter-top rim, 7 7/8" diameter-unglazed bottom, in good condition.

Three(3) Japanese Hina Dolls, Meiji period, 9 1/4" to 6 1/4" high, 4 3/4" to 5 1/2" wide, 3" deep, with humorous face expressions were very well executed, carved out of the wood and lacquered, all have glass eyes. Each guys wearing silk garment and hat. Three(3) pieces of accessories came with doll set and the condition is good except silk garments are stained slightly with age and one(1) hat has loose rope.

A fine jade pendant carved with lions in the archaistic style, Ming or later periods.

Finely worked piece with high relief details in the type of brownish celadon jade, popular during Ming period, but possible made as a later revival piece, we're not certain.

Set of four Bohemian glasses, each hand painted with a different pair of dogs. We're not dog experts, but they appear to be Scotties, wolfhounds, spaniels and Dalmatians. The quality of the painting is very nice, as is the quality of the glass. The top and bottom edges are decorated with gilt lines. The polished bottoms are acid-etched "Made In Czechoslovakia".

A pretty Art Deco cut glass perfume bottle with an intaglio stopper. The periwinkle blue body is cut in a diamond pattern, while the flat round stopper has lapidary cut edges and an intaglio four-leaf clover. The overall effect is very sweet. The flat base is acid-etched “Made in Czechoslovakia” inside an elongated oval.

A fascinating manipulation of fired on patination to the copper or bronze, shouldered vase. A rich, earthy copper red fired on patina is on the interior and on the exterior serving as background to irregular streams, inlets and pools of dappled verdigris among, and picked out by, (seemingly) flames of speckled gold fading into the background color. We included one picture with filtered sunlight to better pick out the colors...

A very nice antique Chinese glass paperweight featuring a lampwork poinsettia. The bright red petals are arranged in a double row around a sulfur yellow millefiori center and are accented with a green stem and a pair of leaves. The Chinese copied this design from New England Glass Company paperweights of the 19th century. The glass in this example is relatively good quality, with only few small bubbles, and is considerably larger than many examples...

This Chinese hair comb was hand carved from a beautifully "grained" translucent animal horn. Obtained from an ethnic minority person, the pair of ducks carved into the handle were commonly used by mainstream Han Chinese as a symbol of a long and happy marriage. Items with this symbol would often be gifted for an anniversary.

A splendid ruby cut to clear glass crystal compote on a scalloped foot rising along a faceted shaped stem with terraced capital supporting a gorgeous rich ruby red cut bowl. The compote has excellent weight - you know you are getting a quality piece of crystal when you feel it in your hand. An unframed old watercolor painting of tall trees in a Japanese forest, 19 1/2" by 13", signed at lower right by listed artist TOKUSABURO KOBAYASHI (1884-1949). There is old Japanese yellowed newspaper from THE HOCHI SHIMBUN used as cushioning between the watercolor paper and the old wood backing panel. Kobayashi was active in the first part of the century as a watercolorist. Frame with archival materials to enjoy this fine watercolor of a (cedar?) forest.

Round decorative tile of an early steamship atop a Sherwin-Williams-type schematic earth, diameter 7 3/8" and about 7/8" thick at the edges. This is a hand crafted and no doubt unique piece; hand painted, and glazed. On the reverse is scratched into the ceramic what I take to be apparently the date: "11-7-22". There are two holes drilled at the top, through which a wire has been strung, to allow this to hang on a wall. See several thousand paintings, drawings and prints in my shop.

Japanese glass ojime in a form of tombodama bead with white core and two birds on a long branch with leaves and flowers. Tombodama can be translated as “dragonfly ball” and the name is thought to come about because when the molten glass is applied to the core bead it resembles a dragonfly’s eye. This vintage Knickerbocker figurine or novelty stem is by Morgantown Glass from the 1940s. It features a crystal clear stem of man in a top hat wearing a monocle (looks like the Planter Peanut's man.) This rare Morgantown Genova Two-Tone tumbler is a beautiful deep cobalt Nanking Blue and golden topaz. The flared bowl is blown panel optic attached to the blown bell foot. This set of 6 fruit knives, stainless steel blades and porcelain handles, was produced in England by Royal Crown Derby before 1970. They are 8 1/2 inches long. They are in a silk lined fitted box. The handles are fine bone china. They are decorated with a floral transfer decoration which is painted over by hand. The stainless steel blades have a serrated edge. Condition: Excellent.
