An antique silver - most probably sterling - watch fob with original chain and dog clip, this sweet little find is, I believe, from the late Victorian / Edwardian period. There is nothing mundane about it either - I find the basketweave ribbon that runs the fob's perimeter at the waist eye-catching as well as the wire-work above it. Two impressive winged lions with their backs on each other make up the body of this antique yellow and rose gold-filled watch key. Part of a small collection I acquired some time ago that will be presented within the next couple of weeks, it is a very nicely detailed figural "bauble", perfect to be enjoyed alone or added to your neck mess. The watch key measures 1 3/4" tall (including bail and pin) by 1 1/8" wide and it weighs 4.8 grams (for reference only since there is no precious metal here)....

A nice Edwardian silver watch chain with striped niello decoration on alternate links between smaller gilt links. The chain is finished with a niello swivel dog clip at one end and a large bolt with repousse and gilt decoration on the other. The chain is stamped with Swiss 800 silver marks used 1882-1934.

A lovely European bronze Sun dial, carved in a fine renaissance style and dated 1635, but Victorian, English manifacture of the late 19th. century.

The sun dial very elaborate with engraved birds on either side of a Griffin center shade, with a brass spike, othervise in bronze. Inscribed with Roman numbers and dated 1635. Finely patinated in red and dark bronze and in perfect condition.

Sterling silver watch fob by George W. Shiebler. An outstanding example of the "Medallion" or "Curio Medallion" line, this watch fob is comprised of a horizontal log-like bar inscribed with the Greek letters "XAPIE" suspending five discs depicting Greek gods and goddesses. A very nice Victorian watch fob chain of woven hair accented with 14K yellow gold fittings. The weaving is very nicely done from hair in a soft chestnut color. The center of the chain features a paneled gold fitting from which is suspended a gold-mounted pendant drop with acorns and leaves.
