Rare Egyptian bronze Fish amulet, New Kingdom, 15th.-14th. cent.

A fine Fish amulet with nice details and fine patina. Fish amulets in bronze are not commonly seen on the market, we've only had this and another from the same collection for sale ever, since 1999 and trading 100s of amulets.

A large bronze amulet of the god of perfumes ,Nefertem, Saite, c.664-525 BC

He is wearing characteristic lotus headdress with stylized plumes and two necklace counterpoises, which are symbols of fertility. He wears a tripartite wig with uraeus and is dressed in a short kilt, arms at sides.

Size: 87 mm. / 123 mm. incl. the wooden base

Condition: Intact with a closed hairline at one leg and some wear. A impressive detailed example!
