Ca. 1700s

This jade tube is a celadon green with lighter inclusions that create mountain landscape-like patterns throughout. It has a soft even polish overall, including the interior and it is slightly translucent when held to the light. There are a few small nicks and minor abrasions to the rims, but it is in generally good condition. The interior is cut slightly off-center.

Netsuke - Nice model of the Shichifukujin Takarabune (The famous boat loaded with treasures of the 7 gods of happiness) in carved boxwood. Nice carving details of the whole composition. The 7 deities are all identifiable, the boat itself is ornate, the waves and a small Minogame turtle sculpted on the base. The cartridge signature has disappeared over time. Very nice natural patina. Antique Chinese rare gold filigree hair ornament. Made to sit over a top knot. Shaped as an oval dome with a raised filigree back. Decorated with applied repouse lotus flowers on a backdrop of tightly spiraling filigree and inset with cabochons of jade, ruby and sapphire. Hair ornaments of this style would have been reserved for members of the royal court.

This is a dark slightly irridescent toffee-coloured glazed porcelain tripod censer of shallow compressed gobular vessel supported on three flatten bud feet. On the slightly everted mouth rim of the censer, it has a slightly tilted handle to the left and right. The tripod is designed after the popular Ming dynasty Xuande period style. Cir. late 18th to 19th century.

This two-part buckle is formed with a dragon head clasp on one piece, and the other is slotted for hooking under the dragon's head. Each has a central medallion cast in low relief of a double gourd “magic elixir” bottle. Both pieces are finished with a stylized bat motif. The underside of each has two attached pieces to receive the belt. Much gilding remains on the fronts, though worn. The reverse of each is ungilded and has old natural patina from use.
