Carved from gray schist and retaining most of the neck, this head appears to have once been part of a larger relief carving. The back of the head was probably attached to a larger stone background and was later chiseled off. The hair is wavy and the lips are bow shaped. There are no apparent cracks or repairs to the stone, but the lower left ear shows some small loss. Attention-getting Japanese paper mache demon face mask. Has a devious grin, large bulbous nose, with fanged gold teeth. Face is black with red and gold highlights, making features stand out and gives an amusing yet intriguing look. Contains holes in ears of mask with cloth netting running behind face. Paper inscription on back is a description of this unique character.

Beautiful Antique Japanese tea kettle. Made in iron, there are vertical striations down the sides of kettle overlayed with bunches of grapes and vines, as well as flying birds. The guard shape of the kettle and handle symbolizes the seasonal autumn months and harvest. The kettle lid models a bronze red two toned beautifully lacquered glazing. Flower like details in bronze circle the top of lid. Inscription inside lid reads Ryubundo, the noted studio produced iron tea kettles.

19th Century Chinese White Jade Carved Plaque on Wood Carved Stand
The overall measurement is 5.5 inches (14 cm) tall by 4.3 inches (11.1 cm) wide. The jade is 2.9 inches (7.4 cm) tall by 4.1 inches (10.5 cm) wide and 0.2 inch (5.5 cm) thick. The jade is 67.1 gram and the total weight is 95.3 gram.

This very nice carved ivory okimono of a young farm girl is a mid-19th century product. It is 5 ¾” high (with base is 6 ¾” high), 1 5/8” wide and 2” in depth. It depicts the farm girl carrying a wood and rope woven knapsack on her back. She holds a basket of fruit with both hands in front of her. Her smiling face is simply charming.
