A well decorated, monogrammed and marked hard paste porcelain plate. The outside border is decorated with a narrow peach ground and elaborate gilding with green dots and red lines. It includes a monogram dominated by the letter "R." The center of the plate is decorated with a hand painted white morning glory.

Rare Japanese keyaki wood choba tansu with 15 exterior drawers (3 interior drawers) and a locking bar, keyaki (elm) wood front and frame with dramatic grain and lacquer finish, elaborate iron metal wood including moko shaped drawer pulls, locking bar has iron work with bamboo motif, the safe box has a key and the three small drawers on the inside are made all of kiri wood with handles to match the front exterior, Edo Period, Makuni area. Size: 38" high x 34" wide x 14 3/4" deep.

Size and Condition: 9 inches wide, 5 1/4 inches tall, 6 1/4 inches deep. Some verdigris to the patina, the interior glass ink container liner has a small crack, and the inkwell lid does not fully close, though this can easily remedied with a competent repair. Still fine overall condition.

Antique Japanese tall gyosho bako (merchant's box), made of sugi (cryptomeria) wood, top door opens to 6 small interior drawers and bottom door opens to 4 small interior drawers, all drawers of different sizes, iron hardware with locks and unusual hooks, chrysanthemum shaped hardware in corners, rings on sides for tying ropes as this piece would have originally been made to be carried. Edo Period (late 18th/early 19th century). Size: 33 3/4" high x 11 3/4" wide x 22" deep.
