A large star-shaped stamp seal, reportedly found Near the ancient city of Antioch, Western Mesopotamia / Eastern Anatolia and dating 5th.-4th. millenium BC.

The seal particularly finely carved in chlorite for this period with deep relief details and a loop-handle on the back.

Condition: Nice Very fine, small chip to a ray and some removable earthern deposits, othervise intact.

A large black stone stamp seal with high relief, Ancient Near East, Western Mesopotamia, Uruk period, 4th. millenium BC.

High relief carving of two wonderful animals with snouts and a star symbol in the field. Interestingly , the top is carved with a thin cross.
