A large silver plate bronze mirror, Cambodia, Khmer Empire, ca. 11th.-12th. century AD.

Large and with a beautiful silver patina, uncleaned with patches of green oxidation on the grey silver surface. It features a perfect circular form and a recessed side with concentric incised circles tracing the borders. Objects like this one were signs of prestige, owned by the wealthy and elite in Khmer society.

A rare and fantastic Swiss Bells in Sight music box made of inlaid mahogany having 10 airs. The sound is beautifully nostalgic. It has 9 bells which chime with flower and bird strikers. The box is wound by a brass crank concealed on the left in a well. There are levers for starting, stopping; and enabling the chimes. The blind dovetail construction speaks to its quality construction. The box is in good to very good condition, the main defect being a horizontal crack part way across the lid...

Plume & Atwood manufactured this delightful glass oil lamp c. 1870 possibly a little later. It consists of a shaped white terraced base supporting a brass stem which in turn supports the amethyst font embossed with flowers and scrolling stems. The burner assembly is brass. The lamp comes with a hurricane chimney with crimped top. The wick, I discovered late, is in the font. The lamp proper is about 11". The condition appears to be excellent though the burner has some minor warping...
