Set of 4 Federal-style sterling silver mint julep cups. Made by Spaulding & Co. (part of Gorham) in Chicago, ca 1920. Each: Straight and gently tapering sides and molded rims. A wonderful way to relax and reflect on the founding years of the Republic. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, no. 351, and phrase “Antique Reproduction / Originals of this Cup Were Made / About 1820 by C. Guiteau / for the Fairfax Family / of Virginia”. Very good condition.

Edwardian Classical sterling silver baby cup. Made by Whiting in New York, ca 1910. Tapering sides, curved rim, and bellied bowl; c-scroll handle with scrolled tail. Two scrolled bands applied to top and bottom. Gilt-washed interior. Plenty of room for engraving. Fully marked including maker’s stamp and no. 3905. Very good condition.

The swords with this type of a large plain steel guard appeared in Poland in the last quarter of the 18th century...

A square Chinese cloisonne enamel gau box with four arched apertures and gold gilt strap loops for personal carrying. Richly decorated on a yellow ground with designs of formal lotus and foliage, the top side panel has a dark blue fylfot. The back panel, with the large red Shou-type character, slides up to open. Made for the Tibetan market, this dates early to mid 19th century, but could possibly be late 18th. Measures 3.35 inches high, 3" across, 1" deep.

English or Irish wine glass or rummer, Georgian, c 1830. The cup and stem are slice cut, the knop diamond cut or faceted and the foot star cut. Height "4 ½ / 11.3 cm. Condition: fine.

This wildly over-the-top Egyptian Revival inkwell has the goddess Hathor as the center piece. She was the goddess of dance, music, and fertility (how cool is that!). She is wearing big earrings, and her usual headdress. She seems to have a flower in her hair, and in front of her there is foliage tied by a ribbon with a bow (we can’t tell if it’s laurel or mistletoe)...

Gorgeous Titania glass vase by historic maker Loetz with engraved silver overlay, ca 1900. Upward tapering sides with gently flared mouth. Sides concave and corners chamfered. Overlay in form of vertical leafing scrollwork mounted at corners and joined on sides by double arches. Glass is mottled and iridescent white shading to green with exposed patches of the solid cobalt blue interior. Very good condition.
