Large Ming jar with blue underglaze chrysanthemum pattern in perfect condition. This was fired in Guangdong Province and locally, this type is referred to as a “gunpowder” jar although, I don’t know if this was it what it was really used for. Included is a decent wood lid. H: 20cm/7.9in and W: 19cm/7.5in.
Unusual pottery bowl with hand molded snake handle. I cannot find any pieces similar in style to this although the reddish clay and heavy potting are reminiscent of Hongshan pottery. This came out of China and has a good petrichor and water absorption on the base, very old- at least 2000 to 3000 years old but probably older. W: 14cm/5.5in and H: 12cm/4.7in.

Rare woman’s pictorial shoulder cloth from a Chin subgroup (Khami, Khumi or Mro) living in the Rakhine and Chin states, west Myanmar. Please note that the pattern is hand embroidered on one side only and not woven in, also most of the geometric woven patterns are unique with only a couple of repetitions. The dimensions are L: 123cm/63in x W: 34cm/13.5in. I have three books and Burmese textiles and there are no depicted examples of pictorial weaves. Circa 50 to 60 years old.
Good silk textile with tiger embroidery- all the threads are silk except the black. This was acquired in 1991 and has been sitting in a box ever since then. W: 69cm/27in x L: 149cm/58.5in
A small jar, decorated with a garden rock and Peony in Famille rose enamels. China, Qianlong period, mid18th century. Height of the jar without its carved and later wooden cover (cf. last picture) is "3½ / 9 cm. Condition: some wear to the enamels.

The centre with peony and other flowers issuing from a rock, the border with small orchids and other scattered flowers, all in Famille Rose colours and gilt. The rim with a brown "protection" glaze. Pair Chinese Export porcelain Famille Rose with Cafe au Lait glazed Dishes, early Qianlung period, 1736-1796, 5 1/8" diameter, 3/4" high, decorated with large butterfly in the center with floral branches with bird and butterflies in overglaze enamel, and molded as a honeycomb and scalloped edge rim. Light color of Cafe au Lait glaze underneath outside, underglaze blue mark on white background in the center on the bottom...
The wood carving piece was once used to decorate an ox cart, a primary mean of transportation in the old days in Myanmar.

Chinese Red Lacquer Bamboo Bridal Food Basket, early 1900's, 15" high with handle, 10" wide & square, contains inner wood tray inside the lower compartment, high lighted with raise carved gold lacquered design on high handle, one metal butterfly is missing on one side.
An interesting curved board with three openings on the wooden tool. It is not known what the object was used for but the wear on the wood invokes a rustic or the beauty found through the soft roundness of the edges. Age: 19th century. Size: length 35" width 13.5"
A very unusual plate decorated with a central motif of a a late 17th century style “Kakiemon Dragon” framed by a segmented border with floral roundels each with fifteen petals set against a stylised wave and scroll ground, that seems to reference some of the wave patterns popular during the Transitional period...
Porcelain decorated with standing phoenix and floral on the center and four flower sprays on the cavetto, unglazed base. PERIOD : late Ming (1566-1643 AD) MEASUREMENTS: 19 cm wide. CONDITION: very good, no chips, cracks, hairlines and free from restorations. Good sound when tapping with finger tips.
Old ritual dagger ("phurpa"), beautifully carved to represent, from top to bottom, a protruding animal head, three deities busts, a stylized "vajra", and finally a stylized "makara" (water dragon) head on the three-blades point. The phurpa is made of wood, with a fine dark-brown patina. Nepal, early 19th century. Height: 9 3/4" (24,8 cm). The piece is nicely mounted on a custom metal stand. Chips at the top and bottom of the object, otherwise good condition...
