Finely cast small statue of Krishna depicted, according to tradition, as a mischievous boy, reclining and stealing the butter ball. Krishna is wearing a diadem, at the back of which is a loop suggesting that this statue was originally used as a pendant. Bronze, with with partly encrusted reddish green patina, with traces off ritual material. Nepal, 17th century. Length: 4.9 cm. height: 4.3 cm. Very good condition.

This is an exquisite example of an authentic antique double-wicked oil lamp from the Khorasan Seljuk/Seljuq Turks Period during the 12th century AD (6th century AH "Hijri"). This lamp is made of cast bronze and features a rounded body that sits on a spreading trumpet foot. It has two spreading spouts that project from the front and a hinged domed lid. Little distorted half cylinder shaped (kutsugata) tea bowl made of light, coarse, unrefined Mino clay.

The expertly thrown body is covered with the typical green copper oxide glaze inside and outside. A 'window' on the side has been left unglazed for decoration in iron oxide engobe under a clear ash glaze in a geometric pattern of squares and triangles and little circles. Large Antique African Tribal round bowl, hand carved from one piece of wood, with integral suspension loop and decorated with geometric design.

This is an antique earthenware terracotta bowl from the Islamic Medieval era 11th - 13th century AD (391 AH – 700 AH) that originated from the Khwarezmian Empire of Central Asia, specifically from Bamiyan. The bowl has a flaring body that rises from a short foot. The surface of the walls is cream-colored with an incised zigzag motif that is divided by vertical green lines radiating from the center...

This quilt is made out of an old Japanese nobori banner probably from the Meiji period (1868-1912). The upper part of the banner, where the family crest (Mon) is dyed, was used for the border and two figures were sewn together side by side. This late 19th century very well carved nephrite of a sage riding a horse is 9 inches high (with wood base is 10 ½ inches high), 8 ½ inches long and 4 ½ inches thick. It depicts an old sage holding a lantern while riding a horse. Though the nephrite has some natural blemishes, it is quite an eye catching piece. It is in great condition.

Ancient Luristan bronze spear with excellent green patina.

Luristan bronze comes from the province of Lorestan, a region of nowadays western Iran in the Zagros mountains.
With its rich and long history, Luristan culture is well-known for its fascinating bronze artifacts from the Early Iron Age.

Toward the late Qing and early Republic periods, footbinding in urban centers became less common. But women were still concerned with fashionable footwear. This pair of beaded strips are actually shoes parts which would have been sewn with other matching beaded fabric parts to form a pair of beaded shoes.

An late renaissance or baroque period Iron Padlock, European, ca. 16th.-17th. century.

Cast and wrought lock. Very beautiful with an arched moveable part and a keyhole at one end. The lock was cobber braized or plated in the renaissance manor and much cobber can still be spotted in parts of the surface (see pictures).
