Early 18th century tea bowl and saucer, decorated in "imari" style in under glaze blue and over glaze iron red, depicting four-clawed dragons amongst cloud scrolls in pursuit of flaming pearls. This item was made for export to Europe during the reign of the Yongzheng emperor (1723-1735). Condition - there is a 0.6 inch (1.5 cm) hair line running from the saucer dish rim (see enlargements 5 and 6); there is the usual rim fritting and there is wear to the over glaze gilding...

A rare 'ogee-shaped' bowl finely decorated in Chinese taste with four Chilong dragons amongst scrolling lotus foliage in Wucai enamels on the outside. The interior is decorated in typical early 18th Century 'Famille Verte' export style with Lotus, Chrysanthemum and Peony flowers and Buddhistic Emblems. A lovely cake or desert stand made from a Kangxi blue and white plate paired with silver plate mountings. Worked with a sea monster centerpiece, this piece was made by Fleuron of France.

Chinese famille-verte cafe au lait ribbed saucer, Kangxi(1662-1722), decorated with flowers, the border with branches of flowers and birds in flight, all within an underglaze blue zigzag border, the exterior with branches of flowers against a cafe au lait background. Underglaze blue Kangxi Mark to the base. Diameter : 13,3 cm. Condition : Perfect with minor wear to the enameled decoration.

Early 1700s

The interior of this dish is decorated with a pair of phoenix birds in flight. The underside has four “ruyi” fungus in underglaze blue and an underglaze blue single character mark is painted on the center of the base. It is raised on a low footring, the base of which is unglazed exposing the dense, white porcelain body. There are some small pinhole glaze pricks with some darkening that is typical of older porcelain wares...

Made in the late years of the Kangxi period, this plate illustrates a scene from the Romance of the Western Chamber, depicting a courtship moment between Zhang Sheng and Cui Yingying. The blue is of a lighter, more wistful shade.

Superb potted by Yixing artist Jiang Qinfen and signed 3 times ( 2 x to the inside of the lid and 1 x to the underside of the handle ) all the marks are visible on the enlargements. A Qing Blue White Censer. Diameter approximately 25 cm. There are 2(two) small chips on the rim, and some engraving marks on the base and the body. Good condition.

This vase was acquired at San Francisco Bonhams in 2011. Condition: perfect condition. No repair and restoration. Size: 11.5cm high.

This clear quartz stone is carved in the form of a mountain with tall peaks to accommodate five or six small calligraphy brushes. The front has a “ruyi” carved in low relief among rocky outcroppings across its slightly convex facade. The backside is flat and uncarved and reveals the natural flaws in the clear stone. It has a soft polish overall and an even wear. Acquired in Osaka, Japan in the 1970s.

Up for sale is a large antique Chinese embroidered silk panel taken from the back of a Qing dynasty imperial prince's brown dragon robe, Jifu, late 1700's, Qianlong period; very intricate embroideries with gold wrapped thread couching, and other embroidery techniques; three 5-claw dragons together with colored clouds designated for imperial family members only, bats, peonies, sea waves, and other buddhist auspicious objects; backed with light brown lining...

Small jade buckle cut with a grinding wheel, representing a dragon (chilong) curved on itself in the archaic style of the Han period. It is said that this type of buckle was used to suspend a sword on the belt. artist has excellently represented the small animal harmoniously curled up on itself and ready to pounce. The details are perfectly sculpted. The jade is slightly greyish-celadon white, not "fat sheep white". Photos are correctly representative of the color...
