The vase is cast in one piece. Inspired by archaic Chinese bronze ritual vessels, it bears a Taotie mask decoration. This decoration is reduced to two narrow bands instead of occupying more space as usually on the bronzes of the Ming period, this more austere character, the slender shape and the patina with a much more antique aspect allows us to think so. older, probably from the Song period or earlier. Antique Chinese wood brush washer in a hexagonal shape. Each face is beautifully inlaid with a floral arrangement: a pine branch, a flowering apricot or peach branch, a magnolia branch, a pair of narcissus flowers, a vase with lotus and a second vase with magnolia. It measures 7" tall, 6" wide at base. 20th century.

Pair of Small Blue and White Ko Sometsuke Dishes. Decorated in the centre with two birds and branches, the rim with butterflies. Chinese Tianqi C1621/27. Diameter 14.6 cm. Condition: very good, some fritting to rims, chip 1.5 cm to inside footrim of second dish. No other chips, cracks or restoration.

A very unusual and extremely rare ink cake in the form of a crouching dog, circa 1800. From its underside you see evidence that the ink cake was hand molded, what is even more remarkable is that this is a white ink cake, and most likely would have been used in special paintings of the scholar class. The stand is included but is not antique. The cake measures 3.5" (8.9 cm) long, 1.5" (3.8 cm) high, 2.5" (6.4 cm) wide...

A very rare of Yuan dynasty blue and white yuhuchun vase with horse motif, rounded side with pear shape body and glazed base, vase decorated with under glaze blue of reverse blue base white horse in three different style motif , vase is excavated from trowulan east java.
Vase condition is broken into several big pieces, re glued / taped, missing upper part, very good sample for any one who interested into early Chinese porcelain.
Size: 22 cm height, if complete would around 29cm.

Chinese Green glazed Pottery Chopstick wall Holder, can be used as a wall vase, 1930, 7 1/4" high, 5 1/4" wide, 2 1/2" deep, Kiln crazing on the top corder back side but not open, some missed green glazed area.

Antique Chinese pair of yellow glaze bowls with incised flying dragons and clouds of smoke along its outer edges, and a single dragon within double rings on the inside center. Wonderful crackling in the glaze is most apparent near the rim and the foot of each bowl. The bottom of each bowl has a Xuande period mark, but most likely dates from the 19th century Ching Dynasty. Tall Chinese lacquer cabinet with red sides and black front, hand painted with an assortment of gilt butterflies and flowers. Its front features two front opening doors with center locks and two drawers with ring pulls, with interior shelving. Early 20th century. Size: 67" height, 31.5" width, 17.5" depth

 

A Chinese jade carved as a gourd with trailing foliage. The stone is of mottled celadon hue and the carving is well detailed and tactile. age: 19 C. SIZE: 1 6/8 INCHES X 1 1/2 INCHES X 6/8 INCHES thickness. ( 4.5cm x 4 x 2.3 thickness). Condition: excellent, no damage.

DESCRIPTION: An antique Chinese boxwood toggle (Guajian) carved as a pair of men’s shoes resting side by side, a symbol of marital harmony and the wish for many sons. The shoes are elaborately carved with hollowed interior, relief banding, and incised designs on all sides including the soles. A hole running through the inner sides of each shoe forms the track used for threading cords from which this toggle would have been suspended as a counterweight to some other object...

Diameter approximately 32.5 cm. There is a soft chip at the rim. There are two hairlines at the base. More pictures are available. In good condition.
