The calligraphy measures 12 ½ inches wide and 52 inches long. Mr. Xu was born 1854 in Tianjing City and died 1939. During the late Qing Dynasty, he was appointed by the Qing Emperor as Viceroy of Manchuria and an official scholar of Ti-Ren Ge (royal chamber or cabinet)...
A very rare Ming dynasty blue glazed and white slip pouring vessel (Kendi), rounded side with globular body and high neck, kendi decorated with blue glazed and white slip of flower motif at the body, neck with Buddhist symbols motif, lower spout with bird motif, base with white glaze and some blue splashes.

This grey white nephrite jade Ruyi Sceptre finely carved and well polished,
it skillfully worked in high relief with a pierced and carved in the form of an old
and curved plum stem with its flowers and Lingzhi fungus, a monkey playing on the plum branches, russet dark grey tinges on some areas.
It is in very fine condition without any damages, and measures 14cm x 4.7cm w.
This is one of a matched pair of Chinese blue and white porcelain temple jars in the Hawthorn pattern, having a domed lid with foo dog finial and lion mask handles. Condition: very good condition; 1 small chip on underside of rim. Measurement: 14" h.
