A pair of small bronze foo dogs or foo lions created by the lost-wax casting process, showing traces from the mold. Both have a wonderful warm patina and would make excellent brush rests for a calligrapher's or artist's detail brushes. In excellent condition, they measure about 2" long x 1.5 inches high.

This old wooden dragon was hand carved with an expressive face and large black eyes. He balances nicely with his tail on a short pedestal. Gripping his prized pineapple in his paws, he licks it with his tongue, clearly relishing the sweet taste. The pineapple has a short hollow plug on top to provide for an incense stick.

The name Zhang Feng Chao is carved on the underside of the pedestal. This old dragon is a wonderful example of an old Chinese folk art artifact...

Antique Chinese Chizhou stoneware kendi (handleless pouring vessel with spout). Also called Tz'u-chou, this high-fire stoneware is decorated with rich brown-black glaze. It has a raised design of a band of flowers around it's middle and a scalloped pattern around it's mouth. The elegant form has a tapered spout with a slight bend.

Chinese Ming Dynasty Fahua Glazed Pottery Sedan Chair (16th Century)

A large and rare example of a pottery model of a sedan chair made during the 16th century (c.1550 - 1600), made from a hard creamy-white pottery and coated in the "fahua" palette of complimentary aubergine and turquoise coloured glazes. It is particularly heavily-potted but has very good surface detail, especially to the roof.

Large Chinese Ming Dynasty Blue & White Kraak Porcelain Dish

This lovely example of "kraak" porcelain was made in the late 16th century, during the Wanli reign (1573 - 1620) of the Ming Dynasty. Chinese cloisonne and enamel figurine of a peacock standing in a planter with flowers. The bird's body and the rocks are silver while the cloisens (cloisonne wiring) are both silver and gold. The planter is gold gilded bronze and the grass in the planter is represented by green guilloche enameling. In very good antique condition, it measures 3 inches long, 3.75" high. Circa 1900

This extremely rare Neolithic Chinese bone comb was dug out in present day Province of Shaanxi, Southern region, close to Yellow River (Xi'an , Banpo settlements). It is 4" wide by 2 1/8" high. It has been cleaned and is in perfect condition. Purchased from a world-famous collection. One would be hard-pressed to find a finer example.

A Nyonya plate with a painting of a Sage. It is unusual to find human figures on Nyonya ware. Makers mark stamped on the bottom of the plate. Nyonya wares are over-glaze polychrome enamelled porcelains made in Jingdezhen in the Kiangsi province of China for the Straits Chinese, or Babas, whose female counterparts are called Nyonyas, hence the term Nyonya ware. Chinese Famille Rose Porcelain covered box or jar with cover, Ca. 1850, 4 1/8" high, 4" wide-widest part, 3 7/8" diameter-top opening, drum shape box, top with raised nail head on the lower part of the box and the top. Overglaze Rose Medallion design inside the cartouches, the rest area is decorated with flowers, leaves and stylized flying bats in pink background enamel. The condition is good except very shallow flake chip the size of 1/8" wide inside the unglazed top rim area.

Antique Chinese small bronze tripod Incense Burner-Censer with Xuande seal mark, Qing Dynasty (1644 -1912 AD).

Very unusual late Qing Dynasty (1890s to 1911) Chinese scholar’s rock in a form of a natural mineral cluster wonderfully resembling a prickly pine tree. The stone is many-sided, providing different complete views. Beautiful object with extraordinary rich textured surface, fixed in newer fitted hardwood stand. I believe the mineral to be aragonite. Wonderful object for contemplation on scholar’s desk, beautiful patina. Height with stand 5 1/8 inches.
