This well worn pair of Woman's Lotus shoes for bound feet are from the later part of the Qing Dynasty about 1870-1880. The vamp fabric is red cotton with a matching floral embroidery pattern on each side. The delicate hand stitching detail clearly shows the pride taken by the owner/maker. The soles are short of the toe vamp which was done to give the wearer a more floating and sensual appearance when walking.
This is nice and large Shou bowl dated to Kangxi (1662-1772) period. The Shou bowl stand on a short footrim, with recess based and then everted upwards. The base has a hand painted private kiln seal mark that can be dated to the Kangxi period. Both on the outside and cavetto of the shou bowl, it is surrounded with tibetan scripts. This pair of Chinese archer rings with wood stands and caps is a product of late 19th century. They are 1 3/16” high (the darker one is a little shorter), 1 3/8” in diameter and a quarter of an inch thick. They are 2 ½” high with the carved wood stands and caps. The two knobs are made from natural red coral. They are in excellent condition and look great on a scholar’s desk.

A good lacquered bamboo brushpot (Bitong),depicting Shou xing and a deer, delicately painted in a style more commonly seen on large gilt decorated blue glazed vases that are attributed to the late Qianlong/Jiaqing reigns . The inscription reads : "Imitated at (?) Tai Zhengya's Calligraphy Studio of Elegant Living, for his comments". Condition is good - one age related crack and a little wear to the gilding. No further damages/losses.
