A very rare yab-yum bronze from the end of the 19th. century ( Qing Dynasty 1644 - 1912 ), acquired for the van Norten collection in the early 30's of the last century in Sichuan showing the male deity in sexual union with his female consort. Yab-yum means Tibetan literally 'father - mother'.

Coral red tea bowl and saucer, the bowl with rocky landscapes in blue, green and black in reserves, the saucer with the same decoration depicted on a paper scroll. The black lines are hand painted like the rest, so probably Chinese, Jiaqing period. The lotus scroll work on the tea bowl with traces of silver, now oxidized. 19th century Chinese soapstone seal of classic square section carved with raised characters. First catalogue photo includes the image of the printing surface flipped left to right to show what the imprint of the seal will look like. Beautiful buff to red to brown stone with attractive veining giving depth to the surface, old dried red seal paste in the grooves. Overall in good condition, nice scholar’s object. Height 1 1/8 inches, base 13/16 square.
Large Chinese Ming Dynasty Stoneware Jar with Spout
This unusual jar was made during the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644). Apart from the short spout at the shoulder, it is a conventionally-shaped storage jar. The outer surface and inner mouth are coated in a black glaze. The glaze falls just short of the bottom of the jar leaving the concave base unglazed. Likewise, the inner surface also remains unglazed.
This is quite large jar with a height of 22.25cm, diameter 20.5 cm...

Small iron in cast bronze, relief decoration in the traditional archaic style, exceptionally part of the handle is in jadeite. Usually these irons are simply made of bronze because they were utilitarian objects, which is why it is curious that this one has this precious contribution.
