Chinese porcelain vase with a meiping form with iron red underglaze of three twisting dragons, with puffs of smoke and flame floating around them and rolling waves below. The vase bottom has the Chinese "shou" symbol, meaning "longevity". 18th/ 19th century. Provenance from a prominent mid-west collection.

Now wired as a lamp, this vase is glazed in variegated oxblood that has been applied to produce a flambe-like pattern against an even copper-red background. The interior, which is partly revealed at the mouth, drains to white. It is mounted to a traditional Chinese carved wood base and wired for electricity. It is in overall good condition with no repairs or restorations.

Blue and white Chinese porcelain container shaped like a fan, with scenes of a large open body of water surrounded by rocky terrain, and people fishing in boats on its outer edges and lid. The lid is inscribed in Chinese with marks by the artist, and the inside bottom piece shows a large river flowing into open waters. Interesting sprue mark pattern on bottom. Beautiful jade jar with elaborately detailed carvings of a large taotie motif, or "gluttonous ogre mask", a face motif without a lower jaw area, on its front and back, two carved handles shaped like beasts' heads with agate rings, carved chevron designs above and below the lid, topped with a floral finial. The jar comes with a hardwood stand.

This tea bowl sized dish is decorated in underglaze cobalt on two sides of the exterior with a rapidly-brushed floral design, and with a flower on the interior base. It is well-potted and raised on a low footring with a recessed base that is glazed and reveals chatter marks from the trimming. The footring was hastily cut, with an uneven, but glazed-over area to one side. The rim shows typical fritting and glaze loss, otherwise there are no cracks or restorations...
Up for sale is a rare antique Chinese rank badge taken from an imperial family member's surcoat, 19th century Qing dynasty embroidered with a 5-claw dragon, clouds, bats,seawaves, buddhist auspicious symbols against a black silk ground; very intricate embroideries !

Fabulous Chinese antique bronze Guanyin Buddha statue, Qing dynasty Kangxi period, around 17th century. The Guanyin is sitting on a base, wearing a long robe, two eyes are looking down, holding a bottle.
Smooth surface, wonderful and exquisite carving. On the back you will find a Kangxi mark. It's a rare statue, very special. No repairs.

A lovely porcelain covered box of the Ming Dynasty, Jiajing Period ( 1567 - 1572 ) with a blue and white floral decoration with Lion.
Porcelain body, very nice Cobalt blue, covered with an excellent glossy glaze.

Condition : Perfect original condition. There are 2 firing cracks which can be seen on the last enlargement, but there is no later damage to the piece.
Porcelain Chinese figurine of Tsao Kuo Chiu, who is a patron saint of theatrical profession. Richly decorated in polychrome enamels, Tsao Kuo Chiu is one of the 8 Immortals. We have never seen a theatrical monkey at the base, but he is a nice addition to this very unique 19th century Chinese figurine. Marked CHINA on the bottom, we are dating him Circa 1900. In excellent condition, he measures 7.5 inches tall.
The melon-shaped body vertically delineated by double ribs to create six shallow lobes decorated with incised abstract floral, the long waisted neck decorated with two incised lines at the bottom, the curved spout set antipodal from the ribbed handle, culminating in the lipped rim, all supported on a short slightly flared foot, applied overall in a thin light-green glaze pooling to a deeper color in the recesses, . height 8 in., 20.3 cm...
The exterior of the deep rounded sides carved with a band of petals rising from the foot to the flat everted rim, and the interior decorated in the center with two molded fish, covered overall with a glaze of guan type sea-green tone except for the foot rim burnt reddish-brown in the firing 21.7 cm diam. Minor restoration to the hairline on the rim, no chips or other damages.
A very rare sample of Yuan dynasty shufu qingbai ewer, this shard is decorated with moulded phoenix ilustration , there is good sample large size of ewer. this shards is very good for studying and comparison to any one who interested in studying early Chinese porcelain.

Antique Chinese bronze hanging bell with beautiful casting and patina. It hangs by a hook shaped as a two-headed serpent, and its sides are decorated with phoenixes (fenghuang in Chinese, ho-o in Japanese) flying with their head downwards and their long, beautiful tail feathers floating up and over their bodies. The phoenix is a bird of the Sun, so a small Sun adorns two sides of the bell, along with curling motif running along the bottom.
