Antique Japanese set of 4 wagon wheels. The smaller wheels have 12 spokes while the larger ones have 14. The central hub and outside edges of each wheel is lined with iron.

This antique Japanese Marquetry box is a good example of the meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail that marked the Japanese Meiji Period. The sides of the lid have scalloped opening which ease the removal opening of the box which was probably designed for glove storage.

Antique Japanese solid ebony hardwood cha tansu, for storing and displaying tea ceremony articles. The top of the piece has a wide compartment behind two sliding panel doors, with two open shelves below. Its sides are carved with a reticulated honeycomb design. The bottom of the chest has two Persimmon burl sliding panels opening to a lovely shelved interior with foliate carved paneling and two small drawers.

Antique Japanese rare Funa tansu from Fukushima, made of Kiri (paulownia) wood. All original condition/finish. Five drawers of various size in front with simplistic iron hardware and four locks. Each drawer has it's own key.

Antique Japanese deep small tansu made entirely of Kiri (paulownia) wood. All original finish with natural patina front and red lacquer top and sides. A variety of drawers in unusual formation provide neatly organized storage of small treasures.

A “Gosho Ningyo” doll of a plump kneeling male child carrying a “hyotan” gourd. The large gourd symbolizes health, vitality, prosperity and immortality. The kneeling boy is wearing a bib with painted accents in white, green, navy blue, brown and gold pigments. There are two ties in the back for the bib. The hyotan (gourd) is also painted in greens, navy-blues, gold and grey of 3-leafed motifs that appear to be paulownia flowers...
Cedar wooden ‘post-hide’ or hashira-kakushi that is used as a decoration of one of the posts in a room, or a horizontal post of the tokonoma (niche). The post-hide is the same width as the pillar posts in a Japanese house, hiding it thus almost completely in width.
Cedar wood, the front stained dark brown and decorated in mineral with a dragon. Seal on either end of the plaque. Inscription in black ink on the back...
Fine Edo Period Sho Bosatsu Kannon in Rare Excellent Condition, gilded wood sculpture seated on a lotus and holding a lotus in the left hand. The Bodhisattva of Compassion has never been more beautifully rendered. Height: 27 inches (68.5 cm), Width: 14 inches (35.5 cm).

This is a wonderful Meiji Era or Japanese golden age cloisonne box. The designs and form on this piece are very attractive and quite rare. Even the bottom has the fan shaped decorative designs. This box is in excellent condition but not perfect because the bottom enamel edges show some table wear. The box measures 4 3/4 inches by 4 inches and is2 1/4 inches tall. It is not signed.
Antique Japanese choba tansu, merchant's storage chest. This front of this tansu is made all of keyaki (elm) wood with original translucent lacquer finish and dramatic grain.
