Unusual Antique Japanese two section (imho) clothing tansu with a kiri wood front and beautiful lacquered top, sides, and back. Each drawer has a round iron lockplate with the image of a crane. Nice small size for a two section tansu. Original finish. Meiji Period (1868 - 1912).

A Yuan Blue and White Jar. Height approximately 6 cm. The jar has a soft tiny chip and an 1.1 cm hairline at the rim. One of the lugs has been repaired. Good condition.

Antique stone carving of Ganesha, the deity, deva, associated with the removal of obstacles. It was carved in the 19th century, acquired in Kathmandu in the 1960s. It measures 2.25" tall, 1"3/8" deep by 2" wide at base.

Antique Japanese fune tansu (ship safe box), made of hinoki (Japanese cypress) and sugi (cryptomeria) woods with kiri (paulownia) wood on inside of drawers, heavy iron hardware including cross bracing on both the front and back, heavy iron hinges on door, interior has 6 drawers of different sizes two of which have iron lock plates, warabite shaped drawer pulls and handle on top, Edo Period (late 18th/early 19th century).

This superb ivory carving of a Chinese legendary figure Tie Gui Li is a late 19th or early 20th century product. It is 11 ½” tall (including base); without the base it is 9 ¾” high, 2 ½” wide and 2” in depth. The statue presents a legendary Chinese character who is a member of the eight immortals. According to legend, one day he told his follower that his spirit was going to travel far away. He asked the young follower to watch over his body for seven days while he was away...
A Song - Yuan dynasty longquan celadon large dish with twin fish motif, rounded side with flattened rim and glazed base, dish decorated with rare and clear twin fish motif at the center and raising lotus petal motif at exterior, dish covered with good green glaze.
Dish is in good condition with faint hairline and small nick at the rim, no chip, no restoration, porcelain with good ping sound with finger tip.

Original blond two section Antique Japanese Isho tansu. Beautiful natural kiri wood used in the entire construction of the piece. Kiri has desirable breathing characteristics for a clothing tansu. Wonderful original black iron Full Moon hardware with locking side handles.
Overall in wonderful condition with top and sides of both pieces finished nicely.

This 18th century wood Iwabe shells netsuke is 2 inches long and 1 ¾ inches wide. It is not signed, slightly worn but in great condition.
Antique Japanese two-section kiri (paulownia) tansu with interesting kakute (squared) iron handles paired with round locks on each of its drawers. The two sections connect at the sides with pierced iron plating. Great condition, 100% Kiri wood.

A rare Song dynasty longquan celadon conical shape washer, rounded side with inward rim and unglazed base, washer decorated with raising lotus petal motif at the exterior, covered with deep green glaze.
Washer is in good condition no chip, no crack, no restoration, good porcelain with ping sound with finger tip.

Tang Dynasty Changsha ware bowl.( 9th century ) Stoneware body decorated with a calligraphic floral motive in brown and green under a yellow ash glaze. Changsha type Henan. Found in a shipwreck near Belitung island, Palembang, Sumatra. D : 6 inc. Some glaze corroded.
of pear-shaped form, rising from a slightly splayed foot to a waisted neck and an upturned rim, set with two head elephant handles suspending mock rings, deftly incised on each side with a leafy peony flower and applied overall with a thick celadon glaze, the interior of the base glazed, save for the footing left unglazed and fired to pale orange. 26 cm high. drilled on the base for lamp, re atached on of the ring on the shoulder, hairlines or craks and free from restorations
