Relatively large and attractive seal engraved with a running man or deity, a horned animal and a palmtree, crescent above.

Japanese Brown Cafe au Lait color Lacquer nut shape Ojime, 11/16" high, 11/16" wide, 1/2" deep, hollow inside with large holes on the top and the bottom to tightening to connect to Netsuke. The condition is good.

Framed Chinese early Qing dynasty imperial silk and gold threads brocade fragment with 5 claws dragon. This piece most likely is under part(knee) of a dragon robe. This dragon holding a firing pearl flying above sea waves and mountain. Dimensions: 51 x 23 cm without frame, 73 x 45 cm with frame. This is a large collection of ancient Chinese iron arrowheads dating as early as the Liao dynasty (916-1125 AD) to as late as the Qing. Edo Period Early 19th Century Japanese Gold Lacquered Box. An extraordinary master work inspired by the Rimpa style of Ogata Korin. This stunning box features a pair of Peacocks by a stream with auspicious Flowers and Butterflies rendered in high relief of gold lacquer and accents of mother of pearl. Hand-modeled bowl of hemispherical body with a single handle at the rim. The base rounded.
The burnished surface with a red-brown slip and purple-red bands of wavy lines that form a cross on both the inner and outer surface. Purple-red lines on the handle.

Antique Japanese ema of a horse. This ema is a dedication plaque that was made as an offering in a shinto shrine. Horses are considered vehicles of the gods, so this ema was made at the highest level in order to convey an important wish as speedily as possible. Painted in mineral colors on keyaki (elm) wood.

Age: Meiji Period (1868-1912)

Funeral mirror of circular shape decorated around its center with two chimeras facing each other. Bronze, with a nice slightly encrusted red and green patina on some areas. China, Jin Dynasty. Diameter: 8.5 cm. Very good condition. NOTE: this mirror is part of a small collection of funeral mirrors collected many years ago that we are starting to offer presently.

Rare seated figure with writing tablets folded open on the lap. The writing right hand rests on the tablet, which is held with the other. The small face with a prominent nose, the eyes and the mouth indistinct and originally painted. Curls frame the forehead and braids fall along the neck.
The figure wears a skin-tight tunic that might have been originally painted. The edge of a cloak covers the lower chest...

19th century staghorn ojime (slide bead for tightening the cord going from netsuke to inro) carved in a shape of a decaying skull. Wonderful carving, beautiful patina on the surface, in excellent condition. Length 5/8 inches.
