A very rarely encountered horsemans spiked macehead, Eastern German, Crusader period tyoe, dating ca. 12th.-13th. century AD.

A very attractive macehead in a wonderful condition for the excarvated type. With a fair amount ov silver plating or inlays to the surface and a small piercing hole where a rivet secured it to the shaft.

Size: 60 mm. wide and 48 mm. tall.

Condition: Choice for the type and intact with corrosion in smaller parts...

19th century Japanese kozuka (sword knife) handle depicting Ebisu - one the Seven Gods of Good Fortune, that of fishing - happily hanging out in a humble boat by reeds in a stream. Wonderful crisp work - see his happy smiling face, texture of his hat and finely done reed leaves, in excellent condition. Signed SHOGETSUSAI HARUYUKI on the back - the artist is a listed 19th century Japanese metalsmith...

An ornate Incense Burner with two fighting Dragons, Ming Dynasty 168-1644 AD. Note that we have a similar listed, if you like the matching pair!

The vessel stands on three stout legs decorated with animal heads. Fine decoration of two fierce dragons in each glace - dark blue and torquise colours.

This is a fine early Japanese Satsuma vase. It was made before 1900 and is one of the better examples I have seen from this artist.. The enamel work and relief dragon are done very well. The vase is interesting and has a lot of character. It is very heavy and in very good condition. The only real flaw is a broken horn on the dragon which is a common occurrence with these pieces. This can be fixed fairly easily and I could arrange for this small repair for the buyer. Stands 9 1/2 inches tall.

A rare tomb gift from the Song Dynasty, made of red pottery, covered with green, brown and yellow glaze. The crawling position probably shows that this lady is worshipping the deceased person. Length 17 cm, height 12 cm. Condition: the hands restored, glaze loss. Please refer to the pictures.

A rare ancient agate bead made for wearing as a pendent or necklace. These beads date back to over 2,000 years. They have some kind of tiger influence in their shape and stripes.. Size:1.5cm X 1.1cm. Condition: Normal wear.

A massive ancient Near East bronze lance, ca. 1500-1000 BC.

Caspian Sea area, likely Turkmenistan. The largest bronze lance we've had for 20 years with it's 55 cm.

The lance with a very long folded and hammered socket, still with original content inside. Blade with a raised midsection.

A highly interesting piece for it's size alone, very impressive in hand.

Condition: Very nice, intact with minor losses to the blade, as seen in the pictures...

An Islamic seal in a terrific quality and extra large size, probably Persian, c. 17th.-18th. cent. AD or earlier!

Engraved with finely caligraphy, round seal base with a tall domed handle, pierced at the top.

Size: 43 mm. in diameter and 40 mm tall.

Condition: Good Very fine, lovely redish patina.

Ancient circa 1000 B.C. Western Asiatic, South Caspian Sea region, bronze pendant in the form of a bull with suspension loop.

CONDITION: In good condition considering its age, showing its age and usage with dark patina and earthen and mineral deposits.

This is a fine antique Japanese cloisonne vase and probably a cabinet piece. It stands just under 5 inches tall. The glowing beauty and quality are more impressive when seeing it in person. The vase is in excellent condition.

A Porcelain flambe Ox Blood water pot that was used by a Chinese Scholar during the late Ching Dynasty. This pot has streaks of black in the glaze and a crackle glaze in the interior and bottom. During the late 19th Century, glazes of this color could not be controlled in the kiln, and many pieces had to be broken from the kiln...

Cast bronze Celtic warrior armlet torque decorated with engraved geometrical pattern, Hallstatt culture (about 800 to 475BC).

Early 19th century netsuke depicting one of the Suikoden heroes holding a heavy axe in his hands, and with a large sword in dragon scabbard on his back. Chinese book called Shui-Hu-Chuan (Suikoden in Japanese, The Water Margin in English) was very popular in the capital Edo. It contained numerous tales of an outlaw named Sung-Chiang and his 108 followers. Very good detailed carving, wonderful face with expression of tense concentration, beautiful staining, excellent wear and patina...

Chinese monochrome purple peking glass cup and saucer. The glass has a deep purple tone. Both the cup and dish have flared rims and a round, recessed foot.

Rare Japanese silk jacket with a woven scene from an old Edo period tale about a trickster tanooki (also known as raccoon dog or tanuki) and a nobleman or samurai who is holding a pipe. In excellent condition, the black silk is satin silk, fine and smooth.
