Up for sale is an antique Chinese kesi /K'ossu tapestry, 19th or early 20th century, woven with polychrome silk & gold-wrapped threads, the middle square with gold thread ground depcits a battle scene - Worriors on horseback and armed; framed with border embellished with 16 Chinese mythical creatures.
The panel is overall in very good condition, it was removed from the frame, one side the color is bright and clean but the opposite side is faded with glues and tears along edges of the border...
