A very rare massive bronze mace head, Neo-Assyrian Empire, c. 9th.-8th. cent. BC.

More massive in construction than the typical 2nd.-1st. millenium BC mace heads with the solid socket being 4,5 cm. wide. Assyrian design, where the balance is at the very top of the mace head, which is ending in a wide hexagonal star of flat, sturdy projections. High quality weapon with finely detailed profiles and line engravings.

A fine Chinese cast bronze incense holder with the figures of four Daoist Immortals each standing on and holding an attribute, as they sail across the sea to the Isles of the Immortals. The holder appears to have been cast in several parts, the main tubular body in one part attached to the separately cast tripod base by three vertical soldered tabs extending from the short cabriole legs...

An authentic large Tang tomb Attendant wearing a typical attendant's outfit with remains of the original pigments. Japanese antique fu-dog carving for temple. Also called a shishi, the mythical creature is shown here with blossoming peonies. The shishi and peony together is called Karajishi in which the ferocious beast is tempered by the beautiful queen of flowers, Yin and Yang. Carved from one solid piece of sugi (cryptomeria) wood.

Unusual late 19th century Chinese export cufflinks, their fronts are turtle shell with silver Chinese character for HAPPINESS, and the backs are silver in a shape of bamboo stems. Very well made, in excellent condition. Length 0.87 inches, total weight 4.7 grams.

The example of cast bronze with a bore that is described as at the breach and the bore is reduced to a half round section to form a chamber for the powder mount for use. An antique Japanese gilt wood temple Ranma (transom). Hand carved depicting a pair of Kingfisher with 3 Swallows amongst Lotus blossoms and leaves. One Swallow has caught a small fish while one Kingfisher has caught the leg of a frog. Deep relief with inscription on left and partial inscription on right.
