The reverse of the coin features a standing figure flanked with Greek text on either side. This is a lovely example that measures 3/4" in diameter. Ex-McInnis Collection.
A North Indian steel Katar, known as a push or punch dagger. 19th century.This form of weapon is found only in India and was considered to be a high status weapon.
Constructed from steel in one piece it is a very strong weapon. The deeply fullered blade widens in depth towards the tip to strengthen it when used against chain mail or armour.
Just over 40cm length, the blade is 24cm (and sharp!) Good condition. It has an old armourer’s brazed repair to one arm...
This is a beautiful old Japanese maru obi with the design throughout on front and back. It is the kind of obi that we no longer see them produced. The white area is rich white satin and is whiter than shown in the photos. 12-1/4" wide x 154" long. Early 1900.

Well-potted brushpot with a very carefully painted dragon and fish design in a deep sepia-toned enamel that is slightly raised on the biscuit-fired background. Like the exterior, the interior is also unglazed. The base is slightly recessed and marked with a spurious six-character Xuande mark. This piece most likely dates to the Guangxu period, 1875-1908. Very good condition with no damages or restorations...
Japanese wooden chest with a black lacquered body and iron handles on its front and back side, and red lacquered lid. The chest's top and sides are decorated with a gorgeous mother of pearl inlay in the shape of a kiri leaf, from the Tokugawa family. It is lined in rice paper and sits upon an added black wooden stand. Edo period (1615-1867)

An antique Japanese merchant chest called Choba Tsukue made of Keyaki (Zelkova) and Suginoki (Cryptomeria) woods. Two drawers used for the storage of an inkstone and brushes as well as paper for writing transaction records and receipts. The drawer interiors have minor ink stains which is a testament to its usage and function.

A fragment of a large hanging, depicting a kneeling Persian nobleman betweeen two horsemen. Embroidered in chain stitch on a coarse weave. A Cambodian cast bronze statuette representing the Hindu god Vishnu standing with his 4 arms. The bronze has an excellent old patina which confirms the dating. Khmer art 12th century or before.
A wooden plinth was made around 1900 to stabilize the statue.

A small antique Japanese iron tsuba decorated with motifs of cherry blossoms blown in the wind. The tsuba is decorated in a way where on one side is a branch of the cherry blossoms and the other side is the flowers scattered on the ground. The flowers are done in a shakudo style technique. Finely carved mask representing a demon, with expressive features, a protruding forehead bearing a third eye, protruding eyes, beaked nose, open mouth showing teeth. Wood, with remnants of polychrome painting. China, Qing Dynasty, early 19th century or earlier. Height: 23 cm. The mask,is nicely mounted on a custom stand. Old accidents and insect infestations (no danger), otherwise good condition. A very rare piece.
This is a small but very beautiful little vase from the Meiji Era. It is highly detailed and except for the leaves and branches, it was done in the basse-taille styl. The glowing cobalt color is even more intense in person. best in the last image. This vase stands just 2 1/2 inches tall and is 1 3/4 inches wide. It has silver rims and is signed on the bottom Kawaguchi Bunzaeoman.
This is a Japanese antique indigo dy sakiori noragi hanten of paper, Hemp, cotton.
It is an item from the Edo to Meiji era.
This item was made in Sado region of Japan.
It is a wonderful sakiori noragi haten, which is woven with very finely twisted indigo dye, hemp yarn and paper twist.
The rubbing of the thread due to use has a warm touch.
And the indigo dye lumps seem to look into the very beautiful sea.
It does not stain or damage...
