Charming cast iron antique Japanese Tetsubin (tea kettle) Classically shaped, with charming quality. Rope design is looped around short neck of tetsubin and tied into a bow on one side. Handle has loop rope design along top. Gorgeously aged, Tetsubin has ridged mouth with a lotus flower motif nob on the top of lid. Interesting little lot of pre-columbian pottery antiquities, ca. 600-1200 AD.

Lot consists of a nicely engraved spindlewhorl, a cure and intact pottery bird whistle, a stone head and a scarce pottery mould for casting a head.

The head is ca. 7 cm. wide for comparison.

A Chinese White Glazed Yuhuchunping Vase with Flowers in Biscuit. Circa, 1368-1644, Ming Dynasty. Found in the Philippines. Featuring a pear shaped body rising from a short straight foot, tapering to its shoulders onto a long waisted neck and flaring out to its mouth. The vase is adorned with cloud patterns and flowers in biscuit and is covered overall in a white glaze, except for the foot-ring. Measurements: height (11.5"inches). This is a rather rare Early 19th century netsuke depicting a book and a hat placed atop a richly decorated stand. Possibly a one-o-a-kind theme. Signed Hidetomo. Netsuke measures 0.75 inches wide (1.9cm), 1.12 inches (2,8cm) long, and 1.27 inches (3.2cm) tall.

This is a large Song dynasty cizhou glazed rectangular shaped pillow. The top of the pillow is incised with a single stalk of lotus flower in a pond within a carttouche inside a double line rectangular frame.

Some minor chips as shown in the picrures, especially number 4, along the edges. There are also some soil calcification especially can be seen on the top left hand of the pillow, abrasion and wear...

19th century Chinese incense stick holder made out of rootwood in a shape of a buffalo with the front of its body turned to the right. Very clever piece with minimal carving beautifully capturing the essence of the animal, graceful flow to the natural lines of the root. Beautiful mellow patina, very pleasant feel of age to the piece. Metal fitting on the back to hold an incense stick. Excellent item for a scholar’s desk or an altar. Height with metal fixture 5 5/8 inches.
