Early People’s Republic of China molded, green glass vase (emulating celadon jade) and in the style of a Han Dynasty Hu, circa 1960 to 1970. Although millions of decorative items were produced during this period very little has survived to this day, especially anything made of glass. This piece is “as new” condition, with the original label, no damage whatsoever. Today it is easier to find original Han Hu then one of these. H: 28cm/11in and D: 20cm/7.9in.
Late Qing Dynasy (1880s 10 1911) century Chinese Peking glass seal in cylindrical shape. Wonderful simple piece appropriate for a scholar’s table, very pleasant finish to the surface. Transparent glass with the slightest pink tinge. The bottom is carved with two raised characters that can be translated as EASTERN GARDEN, red seal paste in the grooves. Imprint of the seal is shown on Enlargement 1. Height 2 3/8 inches, diameter 1/2 inches.
19th century Chinese fingering piece in a form of a natural Manchurian nut. Excellent piece to use for meditation practice with natural design, richly textured surface, superb warm patina from more than 100 years of handling, very pleasant to hold. Two strands of colorful and quirky glass bangle fragments drilled and reworked into beads. These are Persia, circa 6th CE - 7th CE which would make them late Sassanian Empire or early Islamic Era. Illustration of a scene from the Noh theater titled “Ohara Goko” by Kogyo Tsukioka (1869-1927) from the series "One Hundred Noh Dramas" published by Daikoku-ya in 1923. Very good impression quality with silver and gold metallic highlights and extensive embossing on the blue robe. Standard vertical oban print measuring about 14 7/8"V x 10"H. Very good overall condition. There is a slight wrinkle in the paper at the upper right corner.

Offered is a fine pair of Japanese 18th Century porcelain bowls, made in Arita circa 1740 to 1780, give or take a decade. They are decorated in underglaze blue and white (sometsuke). These bowls measure approximately 5 3/4" (about 14.6 cm) wide and just under 2" (5.2 cm) high, and the weight is 225 grams for one bowl and 267 grams for the other...
Late 19th century boxwood netsuke of Daikoku standing on 3 rice bales, a mallet in one hand, a bag slung over his shoulder. Daikoku is one of the Seven Gods of Good Fortune, that of Wealth, rice bales being the representation of it. Nice piece, wonderful smiling face, good detailing, pleasant patina. The part of the bag protruding from his left hand is reattached. Height 1 9/16 inches.
A rare large Chinese carved wooden figure of a Goldfish. The fish is covered with gold lacquer over a brown lacquer base. It has bulging black and white glass eyes, fins, scales, and a large fan shaped tail. The underside shows the brown lacquer base coat. The fish measures about 15" long x 6" wide at the broadest point of the tail, and it dates to the early 20th Century...

Late Meiji wooden netsuke representing a theatrical mask of horned demon Namanari. The mask is mostly used in the play The Cursed Metal Head-Ring for the role of the wife who is crazed with jealosy beyond any possibility of redemption. Uncommon image, excellent mad facial expression. Cleverly carved out os soft evergreen wood in ittobori (one-cut) style characteristic of Hida school, colors and gold lacquer highlights, beautiful patina. Signed KYUNADA in ink on the back.
