Mid to late ( sixteenth century ) Ming period. Jingdezhen ware in an extremely rare shape. There are some few Thai browh glazed stoneware pieces in a quite similar shape, but a Chinese Jingdezhen blue and white piece in this shape seems to be never recorded so far. H : 8,3 cm. Condition : Perfect. Some glaze degradation at the under part of the piece, but no chip and no crack.

The exterior of the deep rounded sides carved with a band of petals rising from the foot to the flat everted rim, and the interior decorated in the center with two molded fish, covered overall with a glaze of guan type sea-green tone except for the foot rim burnt reddish-brown in the firing 21.7 cm diam. Minor restoration to the hairline on the rim, no chips or other damages.
