Chinese late Qing dynasty Guangxu period multi-lobed wedding collar embroidered in polychrome silk thread with flowers, birds, insects, and small animals on a silk ground. The collar is composed of two layers of streamers, with shorter red narrow streamers lightly stitched onto longer white streamers which terminate in ruyi heads. The box is presented on a carved wood stand having several coats of cinnabar lacquer, giving it the appearance of a solid carved cinnabar stand. Extremely well done and deeply carved, the scene depicts a well known Chinese story about Kuan Ti’s defense of Lin Bang's wife before the advance of Hsian Yu. 19th century Japanese ojime (slide bead for tightening the cord going from netsuke to inro) in a form of a natural fruit pit skillfully carved with 2 scenes of scholars engaged in discussions, all among swirling clouds. Excellent carving in deep relief with precise undercutting and complete piercing of the body of the pit. Very nice mellow brown patina, in excellent condition. Height 1/2 inches.

An antique Japanese Chobako (merchant box) made of Sugi (Cryptomeria) and Kiri (Paulownia) woods. All original hand forged iron hardware. Hinged safety door protects 6 drawers that were used for various merchant supplies, valuables and papers. Upper carrying handle used to move piece to various locations.

This miniature porcelain cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Helena Wolfsohn in the 1880s. The saucer is 3 inches in diameter and the cup is 1 1/2 inches high. The set is hand painted in the Meissen style. There are alternating panels of yellow with flowers and scenes of lovers in gardens. The set is trimmed with lacy gilding. This cup and saucer was a display piece or collector’s item. Condition: Excellent

Painted in black and red tones with elaborate scenes of religious figures, each displaying their specific characteristics and attributes in a spirited scene of multiple story lines. Wonderful detail and energetic subject matter complete with dragons, tigers, elephants and cranes. Six character Qianlong mark on the bottom.

Antique Chinese pair of porcelain candlesticks in the form of two European children. The two curly blonde haired babies sit, each with a peach in one hand and balancing a candle holder on top of their head with the other. Dressed in green and pink gowns. Painted with pink cheeks and cherub-like expressions.

Rare form Chinese Yixing lined pewter teapot with seal mark inside bottom. The exterior inscription reads, "To cook tea" "Middle aged man at last knows how" and is signed "Wang Tsieh". The other side features plum blossom flowers and is signed "I Shan". Measures 5.5" high, 5" across, and 2.25" wide.
