These fun collar tips feature an Art Nouveau-style design of a lady (or possibly a fairy?) in profile with flowers in her hair. She looks very serene. A museum quality oval pendant signed Benevidez (Johnny) and Tim Yazzie Sterling. Possibly a piece by both men who are Santo Domingo/Navajo artists. The Tim Yazzie mark is not typical however if one searches the web, one can find similar pieces created by both men. Silver overlay designs highlight the intricately cut lapis,onyx and turquoise stones. A solid pendant, it measures 3-1/4 x 1-1/2" and weighs a hefty 49gr. The sterling collar has a hook clasp and is marked TS 91 Taxco 925.

A classic vintage Mikimoto 14K yellow gold pin featuring ten cultured Akoya pearls, ranging in size from 6.25 to 7.58 millimeters. The pearls are estimated at A+ quality, with cream body color and rose overtones, and strong orient. The nacre is thick and lustrous and the surfaces are blemish-free. The back is signed with Mikimoto’s hallmark.

Flexible sterling silver vintage cuff bracelet, probably 1960-1970s American Indian.

This very elegant amethyst and diamond estate cluster ring is centered by a 16 X 12 millimeter oval faceted amethyst with an approximate weight of 10 carats. The center stone is surrounded by two rows of prong set round diamonds. The approximate total weight of all 64 diamonds is 0.64Ct. The ring is a size 8 and can be easily sized.

An attractive 800 silver and Baltic amber ring, the oval cabochon amber in a silver setting reminiscent of Jensen’s designs from the 1930s. The amber is natural has not been quench-crackled. The back of the shank is signed with an unidentified maker’s mark and has Polish hallmarks for 800 silver.

Navajo silversmith Kenneth Begay (1913-1977) was an early innovator and leader in Navajo modern jewelry design. He is known for his clean, bold, modern designs while still influenced by his traditional background. This pair of sterling cuff bracelets are a perfect example. One of the bracelets measures 5 1/8" around in the inside with a 1 1/2" opening and the other measures 5" around in the inside with a 1 1/2" opening. They are both 1/4" wide and weigh 78 grams total...

A large size sterling silver (unmarked but tested) Celtic eternity knot signet ring. This size 10-3/4 ring measures 11/16" across the top and it weighs 9.9 grams. There is a partial rubbed mark, but there is no other mark visible - it appears to be hand made. It is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, or repairs other than a small notch in the edge of the shank where someone was over-energetic with the filing for testing the silver content...

This very stylish 18Kt yellow and white gold bow pin was made in Italy in the 1960-s. The two different colors of gold have two different finishes, and the center is accented by three single cut diamonds. The height of the pin is 2 ¼” and the width at the widest part is 2 ¼”.

Impressive in size this vintage Janna Thomas Mexican silver pendant is an example of the "pluma Azteca" technique which incorporates vividly colored bird feathers in sterling jewelry. Very reminiscent of plique-a-jour work, "pluma Azteca" was introduced by the Los Castillo workshop and it is a demanding, difficult process so it was emulated by just a handful of other Taxco maestros. Thomas excelled in it, however, and her pieces are sought after by knowledgeable collectors...

Quite impressive in size and richly decorated with stampwork this vintage sterling silver and turquoise brooch is signed by Navajo silversmith Willie Shaw. I was always attracted to the magical blues and greens of turquoise and I find the so-called "spiderweb" stones irresistible. This particular one, with its big area of all-black, makes the juxtaposition of the two colors even more dramatic. The brooch measures 3 1/2" long and its width varies between 1 1/4" and 5/8"...

A vintage sterling silver modernist ring by Hans Sten and Karl Laine from Sten and Laine in Finland. Reminds us of an abstract spiderweb. Measures about a size 7 but is adjustble. Top measures 1 1/8" wide and 1 1/4" high. Marked with the hallmark for Sten and Laine, 925H for sterling, Town mark for Turku and T7 for 1972. Very nice condition. Great example of Scandinavian modernist design.

This cute, sterling silver pin / brooch is a Mexican cat character. He is wearing a bowtie and has abalone (like, fur) belly. It measures 1 1/4" x 1/2" The back is marked with the #3 Assay Mark. It is also marked TAXCO MEXICO, in a circle, with JRC .in the middle. It is in excellent condition.

A nice studio piece cast as a stylized calla lily leaf that hugs the finger, regardless of which way it is worn. The ring has a warm patina from age. The rounded band bears the maker’s mark of A. Offered here as a pair, these beautiful vintage heishi necklaces are made up of slender shell disks, turquoise, silver and glass beads and what I think are most probably shark teeth. They have been with me for a long, long time and I always thought I would combine them into one longer piece yet never gotten around to it.
