A stunning pair of vintage 18K yellow gold and platinum earclips set with diamonds by Cartier. The clips are worked in heavily textured gold that resembles a flame motif that ascends the earlobe when being worn. The recessed parts of the texture are unpolished, creating a strong contrast with the remaining highly-polished surfaces. Each clip features a irregularly shaped cluster of nine platinum-set round brilliant diamonds, graded as E-VVS2...

Mounted with an oval banded carnelian cabochon, the pin is marked 800 to indicate silver content. It could be European, but has Asian elements to it as well. The rollover clasp is an older style but very secure, with a sturdy pin stem. The design features applied wirework and beading, and rough, scalloped edges trimmed in twisted wire. There are two larger silver half-beads, one at each side; one exhibits a small dent, as shown in Photo 5. The pin measures 1 5/8 inches across.

The flower is deeply three-dimensional and is centered with an array of green-tipped stamens around an old European cut diamond graded as I/J, SI1. Fabulous, large, hand made Picasso-esque double profile face ring by Joseph Gourdji, NYC, c.1970's. Made of heavy gauge silver, the design shows two faces in profile. Quite large, it measures 1 1/8" tall. It is made so that the design faces out, so that it is size 9 1/4 at the top of the faces and size 8 3/4 at the bottom of the faces. Alberto Contreras Sr. was trained by master silversmith Frank Patania Sr. in the late 1940's and employed at the Patania Thuderbird Shop in Santa Fe. Their work was heavily influenced by the Native American jewelers that worked with them. These beautiful clip back sterling and turquoise earrings feature a striking Modernist design with great stones. They measure 1"by1" and weigh 16 grams total. They are in fine original condition and signed as shown. Love the look !

A nice pair of mid-century Mexican sterling silver cufflinks, the triangular faces set with amethysts carved to depict an ancient Aztec mask. The style of carving suggests either Abraham Paz or Fred Davis as the likely maker. The backs are marked "Plata Sterling 925".
