Carved Shell Cameo set in a silver frame with a gold colored rope twist accent. The frame is marked only 800 in an oval and is most likely Italian. The carving is excellent, with highlights of different colors left in the hair. The frame has a pin closure and a moveable bail so it can be worn as a pin or a pendant. The profile of the woman and mark on the frame suggests Victorian era of 1875 - 1880's. Condition is excellent.

A fine shakudo stickpin mounted in 18K yellow gold enhanced with a ropetwist border. The shakudo plaque represents a geisha formally dressed in a gold-flowered kimono and with an elaborate hairdo complete with ribbons and blossoms. Shakudo elements such as these were transformed by European and American jewelers after the opening of Japan to Western trade in the 1850s. The mounting is 18K (tested and guaranteed) and the pinstem is 14K (marked).

A whimsical, solid gold pendant with applied owl, boat, eagle, caterpillar and ship's wheel. The latter is accented by a round brilliant cut diamond and the owl and eagle both have diamond eye accents. This large pendant is 1-3/4" round and weighs a hefty 15.4 grams. A fine modernist 18K yellow gold ring by Burle Marx set with an intricately carved amethyst in the “forma livre” (free form) style. Haroldo Burle Marx was particularly known for his use of large gemstones, often fashioned by carving or tumbling rather than faceting, a technique he invented in 1948. An elegant pair of Edwardian 14K yellow gold, platinum and mother-of-pearl cufflinks by Carrington. The round, slightly concave mother-of-pearl faces are centered with small natural pearls and enclosed within engraved platinum borders. Both the mother-of-pearl and the pearls have very nice luster and color overtones. Each face is hallmarked by Carrington, one of the leading American manufacturing jewelers at the turn of the 20th century.

Intricate and unusual knot ring from Birmingham, England hallmarked for 1908. The gold-work is woven, twisted, knotted, and partly engraved. The front of the ring measures approximately 12.5 mm at its widest. The detail stretches approximately 1" across the front of the ring. It is currently a size 7.5. It is fully hallmarked inside the shank with a maker's mark, purity mark, town mark, date mark, and English Registry Number. It is in excellent condition, and the overall weight is 6.8 grams.
This is a stately pair of vintage gold filled lozenge shaped tiger eye toggle back cuff links, the natural striations in the stone creating rich depth to the stone, marked 1/20 12K GF; Measures 3/4 in long, tiger eye-1/2 in x 3/8 in. Very good condition with original exposed glue on back, minor surface scratches.
Set with a large pink agate cabochon that shows very little wear. The setting is nicely constructed with a complex design of tiny tiered and small cylindrical elements encircling the stone. Four wide ridged prongs secure the agate. The inside of the band is marked Handarbeit, with a lozenge that appears to be either a country or maker’s mark, as well as what could be a mark of 925. Vintage Armani Couture wide bronze tone mesh cuff awash with giant, fiery ruby color stones.
The cuff is 1 3/4" (5 cm) wide with a 2 1/2" (6.6 cm) interior diameter and a hair over 1" (3 cm) opening. The stones are all present and brilliant.
From around 1980, the cuff is in excellent vintage condition.

This is a spectacular set of necklace, pin, and earrings which were produced 1930's - early 1940's in Mexico. The design is one which originated from Fred Davis, and also one which is very seldom seen. This set does not bear the FD mark from Davis, but is simply hallmarked "Silver Made in Mexico". It is my belief that this was likely created by the same silversmith who produced the design for Fred Davis - who contracted several master silversmiths to produce his designs.
