In the second half of the nineteenth century, Victorian tastes and habits dominated, with subdued colors, mourning jewelry, and general strictness. The Arts & Crafts Movement reacted to this and gathered strength from a number of world events. Jewelry designers and crafters found inspiration in the Far East and the Victorian interest in mechanization gave them new techniques...

A vintage hand wrought Sterling Silver reticulated floral brooch. Measures 2 3/4" across and 1 1/4" at the widest. Signed Handwrought, Sterling and with an impressed mark that looks like a flower pot. Has a rollover clasp that hold securely. The brooch is thick sterling and curved, not flat. In fine condition with very minor surface wear and a little tarnish. Classic Arts and Crafts period piece.

An iconic pair of sterling silver earrings by Frank Miraglia, based on a famous Ed Wiener design. Originally based on a photograph of the well known modernist dancer and choreographer, Martha Graham.

Earrings measure 1" tall and 3/4" across. Signed F. Miraglia N.Y. Sterling. Screw part is also signed Sterling. Screw backs work fine and hold tightly. Have a minor amount of tarnish.

Lovely late Victorian enameled 14K yellow gold stickpin in the form of a four-leaf clover. Half of each petal is decorated in shaded enamel and the other halves are set with minute seed pearls. The stickpin has the twisted stem that generally indicates an early date. Tested and guaranteed 14K gold.

Signed,large and great original modernist design sterling and onyx pendant, Israel, c.1960's. Dimensional 2-sided squared design with interesting cuts and shapes, the pendant has a cabochon oval onyx stone backed in silver hanging freely. The front piece is smooth silver and the back piece is hand hammered both inside and out. Can possibly be worn either way. Large scale and made of heavy gauge silver, it measures 2 1/2" long by 1 7/8" wide by 1/2" depth in center...

Here is a stunning pale yellow faceted citrine ring. A pierced gold setting highlights the stone. There is a tiny nick/chip on the edge of the girdle facet adjacent a prong but it is hardly noticeable (photos are enlarged). Marked 14k, the ring is a size 4.25 and the stone measures 16mm x 22mm x 10mm. Light wear.

Large mixed metal fish pin by Rafael Dominguez, Mexico, 1943. Primarily made of 960 silver, there are copper and brass inset accents "marrying" the metals. Wonderful pin measures 3 3/8" long by 2 1/8" wide and is signed "RD 960". Swiss Silver Niello & Gilt Silver Watch Chain An excellent late Victorian silver watch chain with striped niello decoration on the double bar links, alternating with silver gilt curb links. The chain is finished at one end with a dog clip and at the other with a large niello bolt. The chain is stamped with the Swiss mark for 800 silver used 1882-1934.

This 14Kt yellow gold three dimensional vintage motorcycle charm depicts a vintage motorcycle. The motorcycle measures ¾ X ½”.

A vintage sterling silver hammered cuff bracelet made by the Gaylord Silvercraft in Wallingford, CT. The Gaylord Farm Sanitarium was active from 1923-1944 and was organized by William Waldo Dodge. This bracelet measures about 7 3/4" around and 3/8" wide. Marked Sterling, Hand Wrought and with an impressed upright hammer flanked by two wings for the maker. Fine work, quality piece.

Very nice 14 karat yellow and rose gold brooch in the Retro Modern style, set with a single deeply lustrous 4.5mm pearl. The circle is rose gold, and the leaves are a slightly green-tinted yellow gold. The interplay of gold colors is a signature of period Retro Modern jewelry. The back is marked by the jeweller, A. J. Hedges & Co.

A fascinating pair of Irish sterling silver cufflinks, the faces formed from flattened spheres of carved rock crystal set in a silver band. The faces are joined with solid connectors to ball backs. The mountings are indistinctly marked with Irish hallmarks and also have a maker’s mark “RK”.

A very stylish pierced design 14Kt two tone bar pin from the 1920-s is centered by an approximately 0.07 Ct old-mine diamond. The pin is 2 ¼” long and 3/8” wide at the widest part.

Fabulous bracelet composed completely of violet-colored glass flowers and green leaves strung on an amber glass chain. This is one of the best pieces of early glass jewelry we've encountered. The delicacy and detail of the modeling is outstanding, as are the colors. The bracelet retains its original brass c-clasp.

Origin: probably Czechoslovakia, circa 1920. Condition: all original, all pieces intact, two flowers have minute flakes. Size: 7-1/2" long.

Unusual sterling ring featuring a gemstone quality tiger-eye, which shows incredible fire and graining. A vintage 830 silver storyteller bracelet by David Andersen, Norway. Made up of alternating panels with what looks like a large lizard and a person on horseback yielding a sword and shield. There is some oxidation to the background for a contrasting effect.

Measures 7 1/4" long and just under an inch wide. Signed with the scales mark and 830S for the silver content on the back of the clasp.

In very nice condition, has some wear to the oxidation and minor surface scratches...

An Art Deco 9K yellow gold pink crystal graduated round bead glass necklace from the 1915-25 period. This 17" long vintage beauty features graduated pink crystal round faceted beads ranging from 3/16" to 5/16" wide. This lovely bracelet is decorated with white guilloché enameled rectangular panels alternating with similar square ones featuring dark blue flowers. This unusual sterling silver necklace is constructed of sections 1/8-inch wire in a wavy pattern similar to figure eights laid end to end. Each section is linked by flattened, securely soldered bands; it is a nice, substantial piece. The necklace is marked sterling on the band attached to the jump ring, as well as on the spring ring. A rare large pendant by Sigi Pineda of a bird or Thunderbird with a central jade cabochon and blue stone faceted cabochon eye. Pendant measures 2 3/4" across and 3 1/4" high including the bale.
