Dating 1930's - 40's, this amethyst bracelet from Fred Davis pulls out all the stops. The repoussé silver work is superb. Twelve amethyst cabochons alternate up and down on the leaf panels, with oxidized recesses making this a standout piece. It drapes over the wrist with a silky feel. This pretty pin is in the style of Murrle, Bennett and Archibald Knox. The design is that of a heart interlaced with a navette-shaped frame (this interlace-type motif is also called “entrelac”). It is centered by an oval turquoise, and has a safety chain – always useful! Unsigned, and marked 9ct. It measures 1-1/2 x 3/4", and weighs 2.6g. Circa 1943-1948, the "Armadillo" design was originally created by Valentin Vidaurreta. It's a very striking and unique piece which immediately commands attention. This beautiful unsigned ring has been attributed to Bernard Instone, one of the well-known Arts & Crafts era jewelers, who frequently didn’t sign his pieces. This pretty pin combines the styles of Art Nouveau and Edwardian jewelry. We are attributing it to Whiteside & Blank, although it’s unsigned (not unusual for the time), since it’s remarkably similar to another piece by them. A pair of vintage sterling silver earrings by Hans Hansen, Denmark are available. They have a hammered streamlined design.

They measure 1 1/8" in diameter. They sit about 1/2" high. These earrings are each marked HaH, Denmark and 925S. The clips hold securely.

Have a warm patina. Lightly hammered. There are a few very small nicks to the edges but they are not really noticeable because they are on the sides. Weigh 20 gr.

Have not found another example of this design. Fine work.

These are very unusual! We have only seen one other pair with photos, and those were not gold. Each cuff link features a photograph of an elegant lady in a high-necked blouse with upswept hair.
